Ya another thing about that is out of all the problems a skipper could be blamed for, deep playoff runs where the BP falters at the end is the "best" problem to have. At least you're in position to win divisions/make the world series, etc. Was Mike Hargrove former M's coach overrated because of his BP move in game 7 of the 97' World Series when he was managing Cleveland? Doubt you would find any Cleveland fans say Hargrove was overrated they love him in Cleveland. Sometimes your BP is going to blow games no matter what. Also it was harder to make the playoffs when Lou coached. Way harder only 8 teams made the playoffs each season.
