Now that they draft is over, the seahawks are sitting on considerable cap space. I assume they have saved it for some new contracts. Who do you think they will extend?

I think KW, Mafe and Lucas get extensions. I don't think Woolen or Bryant do.

I don't think giving KW an extension right now makes sense for either side. We need him to show he can stay healthy before committing, while he's looking at a much bigger payday next year if he does, and he'd be selling low on himself right now. Franchise tag is a possibility for him next season if he does stay healthy, which isn't really prohibitive for RBs.

I'd be comfortable giving a good deal to Lucas. I think it's worth it to get our bookends locked up, even if it's a relatively big risk. I think that's a case where both sides would benefit from getting something done now.

I need to see more consistency from Mafe given what his position commands on the open market.

I think it’s more likely to ditch some dudes rather than reup without seeing any sort of progression before the season even starts - from a salary cap standpoint

I mean why not extend Noah Fant while we’re at it

Extend KW?
Why does he deserve one? I'd rather trade him off for Taylor (Colts) instead.

Plus, he needs to be this year's whoopin boy, lord knows we get 'em every year on here :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Yet another damn good player who gets blasted, often. Gotta' stay healthy, but his talent is damn good.
Then again, Charbs had a couple good games, so we clearly already have the next Derrick Henry.

Cross will likely be getting an extension. As will Mafe.

Wait and see on Woolen, K9, Lucas and Bryant

Maybe extend Cross I am thinking the Hawks might just move any extra money into 2026. The Seahawks are presently $34 million under the cap per OTC expect $10-15 million to go towards rookie and UDFA contracts which leaves $20 million not a huge amount

We see the talent that doesn't put up numbers... Which do not exceed his
rookie total.
Sure, injuries are a factor but we see this time and time again with other
ex Hawk RBs.
Time to change the "tire" so to speak.

I think Cross is a guarantee.

Lucas? Makes it all 17 games then yes.

Walker? Makes it all 17 games then most likely, but team could stick with Charb, Homer, and Martinez.

Mafe? Maybe. He’s a good not great pass rusher so if the price is right.

Woolen? I think the team really wanted to find someone in the draft and most likely move on but since it wasn’t addressed I then I think it’ll depend on the price tag.

Extend Abe, but beyond that there are question marks. Can’t see K9 getting an extension.

Well, they just activated Cross's 5th year option, so no hurry on him.
