The one that got away.

Most of us, along with the Seahawks, are starting the year with a 0-1 record. The vast majority of us predicted a victory over the 49ers and it really should have been a victory. But sometimes in the NFL, like life, it doesn’t always go your way.

I’m not liking this game coming up. Steelers are feeling themselves after their victory over the Jets and it’s their home opener. I’m not sure how much incentive there will be to get DK the ball against his former team but I don’t know, it just has that sinking 10am loss feeling to it even though we have been very successful in recent years with 10am road games.

I want to be wrong really badly this week. I hope I am.

As I unfortunately predicted last week, the Seahawks lost to their heated rivals at home in disappointing fashion.

This week, I predict the squeaky wheels on this shopping cart more commonly referred to as the 2025 Seahawks become even more squeakier. And wobbly.

Aaron Rodgers has his way with our defense, abusing Josh “Help us Josh, you’re our only hope” Jobe. Metcalf goes off, Tyler Warren goes off, and most notably, Pat Freiermuth abuses lackluster play by Drake Thomas and Okada.

The offense is even more abysmal, allowing TJ Watt to set up shop in our backfield thanks to generous Abe “overpaid” Lucas, not even bothering to charge Watt rent. Ramsey gets in our receivers heads, Kupp once again looks to be washed, and Darnold begins forcing the issue due to being under siege all game, resulting in a couple of very costly interceptions.

It starts ugly, remains ugly, and is a preview of more to come.

I was a little off in my prediction last week, but that is ok! I think our offense will do better this week and keep the defense less tired. I think 17 points is the max that the steelers will score. But our offense is not ready to go all out yet.....Hmmmmmmm

Hawks 24
Packers??????? or Steelers 17

YTD 0-1

23 - 13

Seahawks.

The "resurgence" of Aaron/Pittsburgh was against the New York Jets. THE JETS FOR GODS SAKE. The Jets are shitty and not a good yardstick by which to measure a team. As shitty as the jets are they put up 32 points against pitts defense.

Seahawks bounce back with a 24-14 win. Darnold gets the straight jacket removed and someone other than JSN catches some footballs. Running game improves with Charbonnet getting even more of the bulk of the carries and OLine putting in some more solid work. Defense continues to dominate and the pass rush shows just how old Rodgers has become.

0-1

0 and 1.
Seattle looks much improved this game.
I'm hoping to see an offensive game plan
This week. I think 9ers were pretty strong.

So I'd get ready for some less cardiac football. Aaron looks pedestrian.
DK Drops 2 and fumbles 1x.

It's awesome we blocked a fg and got 2 picks last week. We pressured Purdy 50 plus percent.

Qb will be running for his life.

Darnold will do even better

The Steelers almost lost to the Jets and Justin Fields last week. They gave up 32 points, and they will be without two of their starters on defense. They might have scored some points, but the offense only had 271 yards and 53 yards rushing. If you can't run the ball, Macdonald's defense will destroy you.

I'm sensing a Seahawks rout. Seahawks 28, Steelers 6.
