IMO, this is the most entertaining Seahawks team since that goal-line play which must not be mentioned. Seeing a team form and grow into, possibly, something very special beats the crap out of watching the same mediocrity for another decade. Thank You, Jody, for having a huge pair and taking the gamble - it appears to have been a good bet.

I'm glad you're entertained. That's all football is, really.

But consider: we're 6-5. That looks pretty mediocre, still.

I'll be happy if we go on a winning run and make the playoffs. We do that? We'll have risen above.

But I'm still entertained!

Yep 6-5. Good enough for first place after 11 games. Who wouldn't have been psyched for that prior to the start of the season?

Good point. I would have gladly taken it. And.....I am psyched :)

Will they make the playoffs? Maybe. But I'm enjoying this season again after it not being so fun just a few weeks ago (handing away the Rams game)

I agree with you that that's really good, but...

Who wouldn't have been psyched for that prior to the start of the season?

The answer to this question is the large number of .NETters who picked the Seahawks to go 12-5 or better this season. They wouldn't have been psyched at all for 6-5 and by-the-skin-of-their-teeth first place after 11 games.

Probably so, but are we not entertained that the Seahawks are in 1st place of the NFC West at the end of November with 6 games left to play? I am!!

Yeah, just so we're clear, I'm really happy with the defense and with the team being in first place in the division in late November.

I wanted some of the folks who predicted 12-5 or better for the Seahawks to be right, and some of them made some interesting arguments in favor of their optimistic predictions, but I kinda figured this season would be pretty rough at times, so I see things as having gone pretty well to this point, with ups and downs, but with a net result of first place in a tough division after 11 weeks despite all the difficulties.

Yes, TWO tough divisional wins, upsets out of nowhere, at the exact moment the season seemed lost, and now the Hawks are in 1st place with a bright future. So now do they screw it up by going into NY Jets and making them look like a SB contender?

So it is written, so it shall be done.
All we're missing now is our guy who trots off with "It is known". :)
Each perspective gives things a different look. We currently almost exactly mirror the position we were in last year at this time. But how we got here this year is very different. To me the progress made by our new staff is remarkable. I can only expect and hope we continue on an upward trend, although I understand the one step back and two steps forward approach is the norm for gaining ground in overall improvement. There will always be bumps in the road to get over but wowzer this spot feels good compared to a little over a week ago.

Beating a team as a 1 point underdog is an upset?
Call it an upset it you want. The Hawks are the better team, and it was fun battle. Upset? I can't imagine thinking that we "upset" the Cards. To each his/her own.
Again, people really are reaching to argue these days. I don't think beating the Cards is an upset. It truly is no big deal. (y)

The team is winning, I'm having fun. Go Hawks

I think many of us with high win predictions would still be happy considering the dramatic pivot on D and an O with many top end production stats. The combo of fortunate and saavy roster moves have been awseome to wintess.

Definitely entertained.
