This isn’t just a reaction to today’s dumpster fire of a game, but today was a prime example.

Have coordinators that sleep walk thru games (I’m looking at Norton) though SW did his best Schotty/Bevell impersonation in the 2nd half, but kind of gets a pass because he’s new.

Pete, when is he going to be held accountable?
When is he going to do an honest self evaluation of himself and his coaching staff and fix what’s wrong.

DK, when is he going to be held accountable? He seems to be more interested in talking shit with the opponent than catching footballs or blocking. Take his ass off the field until he can control himself.

Flowers. The guy couldn’t cover a rotting corpse if his own life depended on it.
Have many F’ups and shitty play does it take to get his sorry ass off the field? I’d rather see the ball boy starting because at least it would be someone else screwing up.

Safeties. Adam’s and Diggs both had shitty games today, both need to play better.

DL, not enough consistency from this group.

That is the age old question with the Carroll administration.

Today's game, outside of being obviously fixed, just showed us that Pete refuses to adapt. The offense we saw last week is gone. It was too successful. Go back to no motion, straight drop backs and letting Russell get killed

While the defense did crap the bed in the 2nd half, they had 6 quarters of pretty good play up until that point. Whoever decided to eliminate all the pre snap motion in favor of vanilla no TE offense needs to be slapped. Either Pete got his dirty hands involved in the game plan, Waldron outsmarted himself, or Wilson checked out of 95% of the plays

Pete is never held accountable

Ive seen several posts on here about "pete is not going to be very happy about such and such"

This is pete's product. he's responsible for what is happening.

Pete doesn't refuse to adapt, he is just in on the fix ;)

Exactly! Finally someone sees things through my eyes.
If this league was real, Pete would've fired Bevell after Superbowl 49 to show accountability exists.
Instead, he kept him around because that's what the script said

For the record I ( among many) have been of the opinion that Pete is not in the realm of okay or accountable for years, win or lose. We are watching a man on the downslope of his career take a franchise with him. I guess he was responsible for building it up, why not let him bring it down.

I'm sure he just kept him around to torture us. Nothing like that to ensure the overdose of drama that every fanbase craves.

I've said this before, but there will be no true accountability shown until a true team owner is located and buys this team.

PA was pretty much a hands off owner and disappeared from any real involvement. This team was only a business decision for him . I suppose it also was a community service move on his part to save the Hawks from LA and purgatory. He never really had any passion for football.

Basketball was his passion. There is no debate about that fact.

We all owe him a debt of gratitude for buying the team and building the new stadium with public tax help. But this team should have already been sold to a real owner with passion for the game.

At least that's my take on accountability.

The coach is untouchable and is cool with just having a winning a record and making the playoffs. Pete looks at anything above that as gravy. The QB wants much more than that, things will get interesting soon.

Jodi Allen handed Pete the franchise and extended him for 5 more years at 69 years old. His defense was figured out years ago.

I personlly think he checks out and changes them more frequently than not. I was watching him pre-huddle yesterday and he seemed to shake his head whilst looking at the sideline an awful lot.

The lack of a run game to keep their defense honest is what I am pinning this loss on.

Hey ho - next week is another week. Stay positive and lets see how they adjust.

There's a lot more blame to spread around than pinning it all on the defense.

The Titans had the ball for over 42 minutes, we had it for 22 and change, with most of that disparity coming in the 2nd half/OT when we made just two first downs. In the 4th quarter after the Swain TD gave us a two TD lead when we needed to run time off the clock, we effectively had three 3 and outs and no first downs. In overtime, Russell put us in a huge hole by forcing Dickson to punt from a short formation on a play where he should have been called for grounding and a game ending safety. Meyers missed an XP that had he made, would have forced the Titans to go for 2 on at least one of their 4th quarter TD's.

Metcalf is a head case and doesn't know how to block without getting called for holding. Russell can no longer escape a pass rush and refuses to change his style to account for his advancing age. Of his 31 passing attempts, all but 4 were targeted to 3 wide receivers. Two out of every three of Russell's passes were targeted to either Lockett or Metcalf. Our tight ends had just one catch for 3 yards. There were zero passes to Chris Carson. We were 4-12 on 3rd down conversions. Carson had just 13 carries in a game where we led for most of the way.

There's no doubt that the defense sucked, but they were not alone. The offense did nothing to keep them off the field in the 2nd half when fatigue starts setting in.

Our game plan was good in the first half we dominated them. We were out coached. Couldn't stop the run. In hindsight spending a bunch of money at safety probably wasnt a great idea. This team still has time to get better. Learning to play together. We were on the cusp of winning; Just need to finish better.

I agree, but the problem isn't exactly with Pete -- it's with the org structure that's been created. Everyone needs a boss. You can't hand the keys to the coach and have zero oversight. Unfortunately, the Allen family is unlikely to make any changes -- and there is no one in that ownership family with the wherewithal to step up and do things differently.

We don't need a new coach -- we need a Robert Kraft.
