This morning is the first time I've seen bookmakers have the Patriots as favourites on the money lines and the spreads (1 point).

We were 2.5 point favourites over the weekend. I could see us going into the game as +3 underdogs or more.

Funny how last year's map includes a lot of vexed Pats fans after their loss in the previous game.

Yeah, you'd think we would have carried Indiana. Why didn't we? My guess....

Of course, from the Colts' fan perspective (not mine ):
Since the Colts got SPANKED in the AFCCG, the Pats must be REALLY good.
Besides, the Colts beat the Seahawks in 2012 the last time the two teams played. TY Hilton showed up that punk Sherman and Seattle just wasn't that good, plus Luck is better than Wilson anyway. Luck only throws 2 or 3 picks per playoff game, and Wilson just threw FOUR!!

Anyway, I'm still butt-hurt over Alaska's ongoing betrayal... what is their problem? Russell Wilson's doing Alaska Airline commercials and everything!

Ordinarily I think it's nonsense to think what bettors put their money on has any impact on the game. But given how well we play the role of underdog, I actually like the line to move in NE's favor, and for people to keep giving our guys reason to show they still have something to prove.

And next year, when we're wearing Ring #2, they can be motivated by the fact that everybody is saying they'll be nothing now that Wilson got his contract and we can't afford anybody... as if we had to budget to "afford" Jermaine Kearse, Doug Baldwin, Richard Sherman and others. I guess they think we eat at the same table, where teams trade up for 1st-rounders and expensive FA washups and sign them to huge, budget-busting deals. Not our way.
