Jalen Sundell is a rookie tackle out of North Dekota State University who has looked very promising as the number 3 center.

Very quick with the snap and good range. Sustains blocks. Persistent. Very promising traits.

In a league that has gone wanting for centers, I would think league scouts have noticed.

Yes. This was one of the trades that many of you torched me on that did not make any sense to me. A six-year college linebacker traded for a serviceable cornerback, and now the linebacker didn’t even last a week. Sure he may make it onto the practice squad, but we could’ve done that without trading away the player and potentially found another team to maybe even send us back a 7th for him.

Fellows: It's easy to be critical of everything the FO does. We don't know what the conversations around Jackson were or what the team has in mind for Barrett but I'd bet Barrett makes it to the PS and maybe that's why he was waived to ensure another player was kept that the team wanted to keep who may not have cleared waivers. There are many reasons why some are kept and others are released. The picture only becomes clear after the PS is set.

It takes two to tango. At this time of the year a lot of teams are more than happy to wait for cut day. Besides, just because we cut him doesn’t mean we don’t get him back. It’s all a numbers game.

I’m surprised Holani was cut. I think it’s likely he’ll get claimed. 3 RBs is prissy with the frequency of injuries for that position. I based on their performance, I think Sheriff and Caesar both put a good case to make the team over the guy we got from Jax. It’s been a while since we’ve had guys get cut that I thought would make the team. Keeping 11 O linemen seems crazy. Our backups were pathetic in the second half of the Tennessee game. We had -1 rushing yards in a half. I don’t think there was a risk of cutting at least 1 of the 11 to keep Holani would have been a bad idea. Guess we’ll see how many we keep on PS tomorrow

I agree with a lot of your picks. This time of the year is always a bummer. There were a lot of guys on the cut list that I really like. However I cant say there were any of them I would want to see starting over our top shelf guys. So I'll get over it as I get ready for the season to begin.

I wouldn't be opposed to trying to get Bailey Zappe on the practice squad. I was really high on him coming into his draft.

Kinda surprised to see McClendon Curtis cut given Lucas is out at least the first four games, and I fear longer.

We should put in a claimer for Frank Gore Jr, who led all backs in preseason rushing yards. I would also get some joy out of forcing his dad to root for us.

Rhattigan was set to make 3 mill this season. That's alot for a guy not getting starting reps. They should be able to get him back on the practice squad at a much cheaper deal.

Shuffle shuffle as guys get cut, picked up added to PS, cut again when someone else gets released, about two weeks of churn going to happen, also I think sandbagging Barrett, he was getting cut most likely in Carolina, didn't get much of a whiff here for a chance, go to PS learn system and maybe make his appearance once he does.

Sheriff was impactful in all three pre-season games. So I'm really surprised he was cut. That cut of Sheriff reminds me of how I felt when we cut Michael Bennett his rookie year.
