So good to have that depth at the cornerback position. Reminds me of 2013 all over again. That year, Brandon Browner, a Pro Bowl CB, was suspended and missed the Super Bowl and the team didn't miss a beat because we still had Sherman, Lane, Maxwell and Thurmond.

I feel like we were in the CB wilderness for so long, counting on players like Tre Flowers, Sidney Jones, and Akhello Witherspoon.

Thank you fenderbender, much appreciated!!!

The churn continues with the DLine as the team is clearly looking for something in particular.

OG- Phil Haynes is re-signed for a season, terms presently u/k.

Updated.
So what’s going to happen with Jamal Adams? We can’t seem to get straight answers. All we know is that he will be on the PUP list for game #1.

If you remember that he tore his quadriceps ligament which is a very unusual and hard to recover from injury for him to even be moving around and thought of even clearing PUP by the beginning of the season is a good thing. In short there are no straight answers at this point except appears to be well along in terms of recovery.

Until the results of his recovery are seen to me Adams has little trade value. However, the team seems to believe he will recover and are paying the freight instead of releasing him with a huge dead cap number.

Real answer is 'we don't know for sure'.

I get that, but it is frustrating to keep getting vague information. He is not the first guy in history to get this injury. How well and how long for previous cases? If nothing else, I would love to get a statement from Adams himself about what he’s been doing and how he’s feeling.

Anyone know whether DE- DaMarcus Mitchell was ever assigned a number as he was here yesterday but is gone today? I never saw a number assigned to him.

Haha ... yeah I was wondering the same thing. I unilaterally assigned him #79 as that was the one vacant spot. In reality we will never know.

Somewhere like 20 years ago the team signed a practice squad guy at the end of the year and I never got his # and it has gnawed at me ever since.

Roster Churn is in a full court press ................

Seahawks sign DE Jordan Ferguson, waive RB Bryant Koback

"The Seahawks cut defensive end Jordan Ferguson earlier this week, but they reversed course on Wednesday.

The team announced that they have signed Ferguson and brought him back to their active roster. Running back Bryant Koback was waived in a corresponding move."

EDIT addition:
"Running back Bryant Koback, who did not play in last Saturday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys, has been waived by the team. Koback was dealing with injury and was held out of the last few practices as a result.

Taking his spot on the 90-man roster is defensive end Jordan Ferguson, who did play against the Cowboys and (alongside Tyreke Smith) helped clinch the victory with a tag-team sack of Will Grier on Dallas’ final possession. Ferguson was waived shortly after the game but obviously he’s back on the team at a time when Mike Morris is potentially facing surgery for his injured shoulder."
