The Hawks draft OG- Damien Lewis, LSU

He's a road grader but he's the 19th OLineman on the roster. I can't see him starting this season either, so I'm quite curious about this pick. He's a solid run blocker and a developmental prospect who could surprise and start early.

Yeah JS brought that up when asked about the WSU QB they signed.

Thanks SH, I suspect the league may make some formal announcement or have a virtual ceremony to mark these signings, or something. It's another way for the NFL to sell boner pills or whatever.

You've been astute and quick locating the players apparently signed and so far I've seen 14 or more from various sites. This can't be right as there are only 12 spots available. Every year there is some confusion with these announcements. Their are two types of players added at this time of year true UDFA additions and rookie minicamp tryout players, they both get announce at the same time and often players apparently signed here are in fact signed elsewhere.

This will get sorted out quickly.

Multiple sources including respective player tweets confirm the Hawks have/are releasing C- Justin Britt, and G- DJ Fluker. sometimes the business part of the game brings disappointment as I liked Fluker. The OLine will certainly be a location where there is going to be LOTS of competition for roster spots.

The team still has lots of cap space to add to the D, and to bolster the pass rush.

I have added 14 players to the roster based on reports from Condotta and CBS sports. I’m not completely sure of their accuracy and have qualified their listing on the roster post.

Had hoped find draft/ combine info on each of these guys but that has proved difficult.
