He is also 10 years younger and still developing. No way I take Purdy over Geno. He has 10 picks and 7 fumbles and 17 TDs.

If you included all completions in the endzone regardless of jersey color, that stat would look much better. One of the stats I find most troubling is the lack of TD passes for Geno this season.
So who's the next Darnold/Mayfield in the league looking that optimal fit that the Seahawks could target? Trevor Lawrence? Justin Fields?I'm sure its posted here but I wanted Baker in Seattle. He had one good year in Cleveland and showed some flashes with the Rams for me. But I just like the way he plays so was probably a little biased.
What isn't consistent? He got shipped to Carolina after Cleveland said they needed an "adult" at QB, so naturally, they traded significant capital for the right to pay a serial sexual predator $230m guaranteed. Was later cut by Carolina, signed with the Rams and started a few games. I thought he looked awful in both those stops, although he showed enough for Tampa to give him decent money to compete with Kyle Trask for their starting job. He took off with it, and is now one of the better QBs in the league. This doesn't seem consistent with what happened in Carolina or LA. Again there were a lot of questions about Baker prior to the 2023 season. Clearly he needed the right organizational fit and I'm glad he got it. It's not fun to think about that missed opportunity and what his production might have meant here vs. Geno, but there's no guarantee it would have worked under PC/JS.
Would be interesting to know if they have interest in Fields. Not saying I want or don't want him here. Just an interesting thought. So who's the next Darnold/Mayfield in the league looking that optimal fit that the Seahawks could target? Trevor Lawrence? Justin Fields?
million dollar question and I don't have an answer. I'm open to Lawrence but understand why most aren't. I went and looked at his stats and he hasn't been as bad as I would've thought? So who's the next Darnold/Mayfield in the league looking that optimal fit that the Seahawks could target? He didn't improve in Carolina or LA. Whatever improvement he saw over 2018 - 2020 appeared to stop in 2021. His QBR/RTG went up each of his first 3 seasons (PFF grades were good for all 3 years). Then in 2021 they all went down and they didn't get better in Carolina/LA in 2022.What isn't consistent? I would kick the tires on Lawrence. His stats are good he just hasn't had much of team around him. I doubt they part with him anytime soon as he just signed a new contract in June.million dollar question and I don't have an answer. I'm open to Lawrence but understand why most aren't. They're passes. It can be tipped or picked off or incomplete.not entirely accurate they were doing lots of throws out of the backfield which count as runs in my book
I did say it was a game-winning drive IF, IF, IF the Hawks defense stops the Vikes. They didn't.How was it a game winning drive? They lost.
Some days the QB needs to carry the team and some days the team needs to make up the difference for the QB. Neither happened against the Vikes.Respectfully, I can hold a lot against Geno. He is a big reason they have given a lot of games away. Not THE reason, but a huge reason.
The Seahawks are 5-22 against teams over .500 since Geno's started. He inherited a bad Oline, 2 bad coordinators, and a HC past his prime who didn't have the heart to make some tough decisions in his final years.geNO is 5-22 against teams over .500
I've heard from a few people that it's Hendon Hooker. So who's the next Darnold/Mayfield in the league looking that optimal fit that the Seahawks could target? Trevor Lawrence? Justin Fields?
Massive difference between him and everyone else. He would have to come in as the #2. 9 total passes.I've heard from a few people that it's Hendon Hooker.
