That's what I'm saying. We got the golden goose with this coaching staff, don't let it get away. If the guy wants some Robert Kraft massages, make it happen.
Who wants a massage from Robert Kraft?

I wonder if the coaching staff would use the extra time to get some pre-work done on the Rams. Particularly the defensive staff.
NOOOOO!!!!!!! We need to focus on one game at a time. We are about as well acquainted with the Rams as we can get, outside desiging some new tricks to play on them. That will happen during Rams week, IF we play them again.

Jody should just triple his salary to keep him here for another season. I don't want a new offense and new staff where everyone has to learn all over again.

After the Lions lost Ben Johnson, they were not as good.
Seriously.200

This was to be expected. Teams look at winning franchises and take their coordinators. There will always be a new person to hire ( we can hire his brother lol) or now Mike D from Miami since he just for fired. I would be shocked if he is hired as a HC, I think he's just not ready.

Agree it seems "early" for him to suddenly jump to HC

I wonder if he would do the Ben Johnson route, and run it back for another year

I hope he gets the Ravens gig. That's a tremendous opportunity for him, and given that he has more than fulfilled his part of the deal here, it's difficult to not wish him the best. If they offer it, he has to take it. Nobody could blame him.

Losing Kubiak means we probably also lose:

Benton (OL coach)
Dennison (Run game coordinator / Senior Offensive Advisor)
Outten (Run game specialist / OL assistant)
Janocko (QB coach)

Thank god for Zoom that he isn't flying all around the country for these interviews. That would be much more of a problem for the Seahawks.

Average NFL HC salary is $6.5 million according to AI (although coaches like Andy Reid get $20 million). Raheem Morris was getting only $4 million, according to reports. But that's still better than the average OC salary of $1 million. You can't turn your back on a salary increase of that size. Your wife would kill you.

Even from strictly a financial standpoint, it's smart to wait for the right opportunity, but that Ravens job is too good and you don't know when something like that would come back around. If he waits too long, his best opportunity could end up being like the Cards or something.

If we lose Kubiak the one that would hurt if if Jake Peetz got an OC job (he is interviewing in Detroit). I was listening to the man 2 man podcast and they had him a a natural replacement to move up to OC
