The Falcons did the same thing with Dan Quinn back in 2015 while he was the Seahawks DC. The dirty birds love to poach from the Seahawks.

The Falcons have been an absolute mess the last 8 years. They definitely have some weapons on offense though, and the defense is actually decent, so it could be desirable place for an offensive minded coach.

It should be. Mission over bullshit. They need to focus on getting ready for the next game.
So, another team asks to interview Kubiak, and that somehow equates to the HAWKS not getting ready for the next game?

Damn, all these strange takes on dot net make my head hurt.

I don't know. Is Kubiak spending a day flying over to Atlanta? Is it a Zoom interview? How much time is he spending on interview prep?

Rather just have him 110% focus on the offense for the divisional round.

You have zero proof that he's going to do that. All I'm saying is that you're ASSUMING he's going to bounce and start looking.
Show me some sort of proof that he's not focused on the next game. Someone asking doesn't mean he's losing focus. Plenty of teams are going to enquire about him. This happens every single year in the NFL. Doesn't mean the team or the coach isn't focused.

Pretty sure either Saleh or Ryans interviewed between games. It's not like the Seahawks know who they are facing either other than it won't be the Bears

He may or may not take the interview. Who knows if he's even interested.

What I do know is they will need to score more than 13 points against the Rams... if that ends up being the next match up.

Interviews are a two way meeting.

And, John Schneider has, in the past, encouraged recon interviews.

I think only virtual interviews are allowed right now with teams in the playoffs. Atlanta also has a consulting company helping them with this process so I expect they’ll be looking at a lot of candidates.

Will Kubiak last three years in Atlanta? I'm ok with this interview. If we could keep the Benson would be good. Maybe promote from within.

Sure would be nice to get 2-3 years out of Kubiak as an OC. When it’s on - it hums - but we haven’t even been able to put in a completely efficient offense in year 1 of his system this year. If he’s nabbed this early we would already be on our 3rd OC in 3 years under Mac and that is absolutely not ideal.

IF he doesn't get cute, he's pretty damn good. And he does seem be pretty good at adjusting in game.
