Nah I’m not in the mood to argue about Geno being elite or not. We’ve done it for weeks. We disagree and I’m ok with that.
Would Geno look better than he is in Pittsburgh?Who said that? I said he’s better than Geno and I’m not even sure it’s arguable this year. He can move at least so he would negate some of the line issues. Like I said earlier he was pressured on half his drop backs in this game and still was 12-15 at that time. I’m not sure if Geno is hurt but he doesn’t move in the pocket lately.
Crap I thought you were Cyrus and just trolling me so I was messing with him lol my bad.I've never once said Geno is elite. Not once. I'm merely pointing out the double standard, and the fact that some here are much more hyper critical of Geno than they are of other QB's.
I've never said Geno is elite. I've always maintained hes a bridge to something....Nah I’m not in the mood to argue about Geno being elite or not. We’ve done it for weeks. We disagree and I’m ok with that.
I would’ve said yes a month ago, now? I’m not sure.Would Geno look better than he is in Pittsburgh?

Most of this is me and Cyrus trolling each other.Don't ever stop being you
I didn't think the protection for Russ was bad at all..Theres always going to be times where the qb is hurried..It seems when the pocket collapses on Geno fans say it's because he holds the ball too long. So would Geno look better in Pittsburgh to answer the question? Imo yes, their passing and running appears way more balanced, the oline is better even if it's marginal like you say and coaching overall is better. How much better? Who knows...but I still don't think Russ is miles ahead better than Geno. They are both mid tier qb's that can perform well in certain systems. And the Pittsburg line is rated almost as bad as ours and he would have less weapons. So how would he be better in Pittsburg @Cyrus12 ?
Well every site they tracks it says their line is terrible. I don’t think going from 32st to 29th is going to make a massive difference for Geno. Going from 31st (Maye with the worst rated line is playing better than Geno by the way as a rookie) to 10th? Yeah I think Geno would put up good numbers. He’s a talented thrower and can make plays for sure. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s hurt or what but he’s just not moving as well as he had in the past to me.I didn't think the protection for Russ was bad at all..Theres always going to be times where the qb is hurried..It seems when the pocket collapses on Geno fans say it's because he holds the ball too long. The coaching isn't close and that is huge imo. Good coaches can cover weakneses or plan around them. I don't see any of that in Seattle around the oline. Can't say what's going on with Geno and why he isn't using his legs more or why he isnt rolling out. Gameplan? He certainly won't be doing any running now with a knee issue. I don't think anyone could or would argue that Russ hasn't been better throughout their entire careers. Geno was barely a back up. I don't think I've made that argument but perhaps someone else has?Well every site they tracks it says their line is terrible. I think Russ has been significantly better than Geno during his career but you’re free to disagree.
As far as coaching being better? Maybe? Who knows? I do know Geno has a better supporting cast outside of the line and you guys don’t like to admit it but it’s at least a part of the equation for me. Like the line differences we don’t know how much but it all factors in, we can’t just pick and choose what does and doesn’t because it doesn’t fit our narrative.
Just shows how important the offensive line is. As we’ve seen, things are an order of magnitude harder with a sh*t line.reminder he’s still without Pickens and not a single other skill position player would even start on Seattle.

I see what you’re doing here, so I’ll bite, Russ is a flawed QB and if you keep the reigns tight he can be useful. And Lamar, as good as he is he can be bad too, I have never fully believed he was capable of winning it all. He seems to come up short when it really mattersAwful, awful decision by Russ there.
So if good QB's don't make those types of catastrophic mistakes, then Russ and Lamar aren't good QB's? Trying to understand how that logic works.
They’re an outlier tho as we posted earlier. Every other site has them closer to each other. Russ was pressured on half his dropbacks. Not sure how much better that is? My point it’s not all the line and some of it is on Geno. There are a ton of terrible lines and the quarterback is getting much better production. Now the pro Geno crowd will say it’s ALL Grubb and the line. The Geno haters will say it’s all Geno. I think a little bit of blame goes to everyone including Geno.PFF is probably the most widely known and used site for those types of rankings. They have our OLine ranked 31st, and the Steelers OLine ranked 21st. There are 32 teams in the league, so a 10 spot difference is certainly not insignificant or marginal.
Would that make a massive difference for Geno? Probably not. But I think it would probably make a noticeable difference. I mean, if you had the power to improve our OLine from 2nd worst in the league to 21st, you'd do that, right? Why? Because that big of an improvement would almost certainly be significant enough to make a difference.
Seattle is a contenderSo he walks in and makes Seattle a contender?
