PFF is probably the most widely known and used site for those types of rankings. They have our OLine ranked 31st, and the Steelers OLine ranked 21st. There are 32 teams in the league, so a 10 spot difference is certainly not insignificant or marginal.

Would that make a massive difference for Geno? Probably not. But I think it would probably make a noticeable difference. I mean, if you had the power to improve our OLine from 2nd worst in the league to 21st, you'd do that, right? Why? Because that big of an improvement would almost certainly be significant enough to make a difference.
And I’d add when you look at pressure rates, blocking grades etc our line isn’t miles worse than Pittsburg even with a 10 spot difference.

And the Pittsburg line is rated almost as bad as ours and he would have less weapons. So how would he be better in Pittsburg @Cyrus12 ?
All I can say is that those ratings can sometimes be super suspect. They don’t pass the eye test. I’ve not seen another line where RB’s are consistently hit in the backfield before even getting to the line of scrimmage.

Certainly not Pittsburgh’s.

And I’ve not seen another line lose leverage in pass protection so quickly on-a-regular-basis than ours.

I’m just an amateur, but watching other team’s offensive line’s, including Pittsburgh’s, is like night and day compared to ours 🤷🏻‍♂️

No one is arguing they’re good, our line is terrible. My point a lot of lines are terrible and if people watched a lot of other teams they would see it.

Pittsburg is averaging less yards per carry than we are. They are not not and say better. I’ve watched over half their games this year and they really struggle.

Our line is weird cause more than half the time they look great but often we have one individual meltdown and it leads to free rushers. I was kinda surprised when I rewatched the offensive part of the GB game. So many times one lineman loses and then the sack happens so fast it looks like the whole line crumbled

True, in fact I have been thinking there is a crisis of talent in the nfl on the offensive line. How else could Mark Glowinski, German Ifedi, Ethan Pocic and Damien Lewis still be starters in the NFL?

The correct conclusion may not be the one you are inferring here.

Potentially, but I have watched them play for their new teams. They’re not good. Better, perhaps, than they were with the Seahawks, but not good.

I would be curious to see who has churned more players through their offensive line in the last 5-10 years.

I get it but I’ve posted this before, I have a friend who works for the Seahawks and says Russ is easily the nicest most genuine athlete they’ve ever been around. I’ve heard a ton of stuff about him and that whole situation that I can’t hate Russ.

Tomlin is just a great coach too and I love his approach.
Tomlin lost me when he tripped a kick returner. After that I just assume he's cheating all the time.

Share what you heard about that situation then. Cause it seemed to me that Russ trashed his legacy here in a very public way.
And that doesn’t mean he’s not a fantastic human being. I think he is. But in the end it seemed like it was all about money and control when he was here.
It looks, from the outside, like he needed the humbling in Denver to bring him back down to earth.
