...come at me
National media are calling out Geno's game from last week. These are just two convenient posts from my Twitter feed; there are bigger names spreading this.
Wasn't until the all-22 here that I saw how much Geno had to overcome on this play.
One thing it really highlights about Geno '24 that he's got that savvy, minimalistic pocket navigation that the best QB's have and that Russell Wilson just never developed (he was elite in his way, he just didn't develop that). Geno showed this on the halftime TD too:
This is elite stuff. He's got that "eye in the back of his helmet".
I realize the red zone production isn't there, I realize this was his first multi-score game this season, I realize that he's probably going to need DK to maintain this level of production. And last week's loss did rest heavily on him.
But this is elite stuff. Geno '24 has improved from several games on, several games off to several games on, one game off - which is a place even Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning reside. The last undefeated team was 52 years ago. Losses happen. But Geno '24 is not Geno '23. Not yet.
Next week will be telling. The Bills can play defense.
