The game is too fast for Geno down in tight. He is one of the worst red zone QBs in football going back to last year. I thought this season he would improve with another year under his belt. Instead he has gotten worse. The coaches will have to continue to coach around this handicap.

There is no exotic scheme you can come up with to fix this. Pound the rock as much as you can in the red zone, and throw it up to your big targets 1-on-1 and hope Geno guesses correctly is where we are at with him right now. And that is exactly what they are doing for the most part with him--this is not a coaching issue, or an O-Line issue. It's a QB who cannot process fast enough issue.

Run the ball and play defense is the recipe going forward. Geno is just along for the ride. Getting a look at Drew Lock wouldn't be a bad idea if the situation presents itself upcoming.

This was the easiest game left on the schedule, and Geno really didn't look like a guy who could elevate his team in the playoffs. Good start, but more discouraged than not with the final result.

If our defense didn't come to play, heck, to dominate, Geno could have cost us another game. He is going through a tough patch, let's see how things go next week.

In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.
75% comp, 215 yards, 9.1 Y/A, and 2TDs without WR1. And some of you are finding reasons to hate on Geno because he had one bad decision? Crazy.
You saw the game. You know stats don't tell the whole story. Matter of fact, I'm 99% certain you have admitted such in regards to our last QB. It's cool though, you clearly have an emotional attachment to it beyond the team win.

I'm hoping for a mirror image - last season Geno was hot in the first half of the season and sucked in the second half and playoffs.

Maye he can flip the script and have a great second half and playoffs?

Agreed. There was another Seattle QB who had great stats while playing non-winning football. He's doing the same exact thing for some other team this year.

Being Top-10 in stats means squat if you're not helping your team win games.

What has Lock done in the NFL that would warrant him leapfrogging Geno? That's right. Not much.

Geno is a good quarterback but not the type that elevates those around him. His red zone performance is holding this team back right now.

No. I'm the opposite of emotionally attached. My opinion is almost entirely numbers-based. And if you take the time to look at the numbers and read these critiques, you'll realize who's being emotional in their analysis (Hint: It's not me). For example, Seattle had one red zone trip in the entire game. Geno was good against pressure. Etc.

But don't let the numbers get in the way of your gut feelings.

Also it looked like there was some more line shuffling again as it appeared cross came out a few times.

I mean this is what week 6? With a different Oline formation/personnel grouping
