-- As to Carter the defensive tackle, I do believe this will mean he will be available at #5. It will be up to the Seahawks what to do about that. The only caveat to that is I recall back in 1995, some marijuana smoking rumors came out about Warren Sapp (pretty laughable now), and Dennis Green admitted it took him off of the Vikings draft board. They took Derrick Alexander, a DE from FSU. One pick later, the Bucs took Sapp. Green considered it his biggest draft day mistake ever. Cautionary tale for sure, but in what sense. Moral high ground or your job to win football games.
-- Now, Jalen the college kid. I could feel bad for him, but would need some clarity. You know they were street racing, when the other car crashed, he panicked. Probably had a few to drink beforehand, and was looking at a DUI months before he could become a millionaire. Being inebriated he may have thought it was just a crash and thought everyone would have been okay (remember, he was traveling right beside them at high speed, so may not have been aware of the severity of the crash. But simply put, if he witnessed his friends and teammates involved in a serious car accident, but drove off and left them just to protect his own ass, then he can rot in hell. And hopefully NOT on the Seahawks roster. Also, wasn't sure if he eventually came clean and admitted to the police that he had been beside the other car, or if they figured it out, and THEN he admitted. Big difference. Sad, sad story all around.
