6 years is nice, we get him till he's 31, when his prime will most likely be over. Not bad at all.

I don't think I'd call it reasonable when you look at his actual numbers. Mike Wallaces contract is way over the top though so I guess we can't complain too much.

Are you only looking at receiving numbers?

Because with Harvin you should look at ALL the stats. Total yards is where Pete and John are looking.

I don't mind this contract at all. You will all see the big things that Harvin will bring.

More like 25 guaranteed if he stays healthy. He gets 14 million if he gets hurt tomorrow and never plays again (11 more depending on an injury clause). He gets 25 guaranteed if he plays out a certain number of years without getting hurt. or maybe I am looking at it backwards and he gets 11 million if he gets hurt.

Still, I was expecting over 30 million, so it's still good.

We wouldn't have done the trade if we didn't have a contract done with his agents. They just can't announce it till tomorrow. 6 years 66mil 28 guarenteed

That was my prediction 5 hours ago, pretty damn close :)

29 touchdowns (total including returns and rushing) over 4 years(7.5 a year) is good not great and he never broke a thousand yards receiving. For a guy who is being touted as an explosive game changer and being payed top tier money its a little high compared to actual production however it remains to be seen what he can do with Wilson throwing to him. We are not a pass heavy team so it just seems like overpay to me but not outrageously so.

Two words: Christian Ponder.

Bowe got $26 million guaranteed. Wallace got $30 million.

I stand by statement that this contract is very reasonable.

For the last two years but his numbers are actually really close those years compared to when he had a hall of famer passing to him.

Here's the details:

The base salaries are $2.5 million in 2013 (fully guaranteed), $11 million in 2014 (guaranteed for injury for now, fully guaranteed on fifth day of the 2014 waiver period), $10.5 million in 2015, $9.9 million in 2016, $9.95 million in 2016, and $11.15 million in 2017.

Thus, $14.5 million is fully guaranteed, with another $11 million guaranteed fully after the 2013 season. The total guarantee, then, is $25.5 million.

The contract is alot less than some have predicted so the deal just got better.
