I doubt it. Lot of young guys in that room to bring along. We need more than just Bobby for veteran depth and leadership.massari":36gcwnej said:Wonder if KJ Wright is next after drafting Brooks in the 1st

Pete hinted at having plans for competition at nickel corner during the day three press conference.Maelstrom787":1mwx0bav said:This could be just freeing space for a few less exciting acquisitions. Still multiple needs - competition at nickel corner, NEED a run stuffer at DT, probably want a rookie RB to come in as well...
Of course, I'm optimistic that they can get Clowney back in with the space available. That opportunity trumps all current needs.

This could mean that Seattle intends to match Tennessee's offer to Jadeveon Clowney. A few sources on Twitter have pointed out that Titans would have an incentive to give a serious final offer to Clowney about now - because tomorrow, signings no longer count against the compensatory pick formula. They'd want to sign Clowney tomorrow or later, otherwise Clowney would cancel out the pick they're getting for Conklin.
If Clowney got an offer and came back to Seattle with that offer, and John&Pete were comfortable with paying what the Titans offered (or slightly beating that offer), then we could be seeing the big sweep of cap space to fit Clowney in.

Do you know how the injury settlement process works.? I must be wrong because I didnt think you could cut an injured player without the player agreeing.
From contract notes on OTC.
August 17th, 2017 Britt signed a 3 year extension worth $27,000,000. The contract includes a $5,000,000 signing bonus and 2017 full guarantee salary. In 2018 Britt is due a $5,000,000 option bonus by the 5th day of the 2018 league year, if the team declines the 2018 salary increases to $7,750,000. The 2018 salary is guaranteed for injury only at signing and becomes fully guaranteed on the 5th day of the 2018 league year. Britt's 2019 salary is guaranteed for injury only until the 5th day of the 2019 league year when it will vest into a full guarantee. The contract also includes $500,000 in per game roster bonuses in 2018-2020 seasons.
Maybe nothing but the 2.9 dead cap hit is guaranteed.
