Lol. Russ did a nice job sliding in the pocket though.

I still don't consider Wilson elite, but this might be one of the best games I ever saw Wilson play.

Admittedly, the Panthers secondary is thin and somewhat terrible. And the Panthers don't get pressure like they used to - but he put the ball exactly where it needed to be - repeatedly.

He produced on 3rd down and did a decent job of keeping this team in things when the run game was struggling.

Given circumstances, he did everything you could ask a QB to do. Hopefully, this continues.

Well said.

Wilson played really, REALLY well today, and we needed it.

The last two games he has been much more decisive and authoritative with the football. Like you said, lets hope he keeps it up, because when he plays like this, he is phenomenal!!!!

So... outside a game here or there, just play like he has the last 6 years.

He definitely has phenomenal games!! This was absolutely one of them.

He was fantastic-just awesome.

There is no need to hope. This is what Wilson is. The difference you're seeing is the protection, he is now getting time to throw.

You guys probably forgot to compare him to ... Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, Philip Rivers, Andrew Luck, Cousins, Alex Smith, Carr, ...etc.
I mean ... isn't Russ a running QB? Why are his throwing numbers so high? :sarcasm_off:

Being a Niner fan growing up I’m not a fan of Seattle for obvious reasons , but man you have a bonafide stud QB in RW. The man is not afraid of being aggressive when the stakes are highest and has a beautiful touch on deep passes that are very accurate. I knew when he dropped back and bought a little time to set up that throw that he was going to deliver the win today. He has done this many times already in his career. I can’t see how any fan of the Hawks or a fan of football in general could have any negative criticism towards him. He is as clutch as they come. I’m a Russel Wilson fan, just wish he played for another team lol!

nah, he ain't nothin' but a game manager. OK, occasionally he could be considered as an elite-ish game manager but still a game manager. And he will always be too short, and not black enough. :stirthepot:

For toffee, there ain't another QB I rather have than our own Russell Wilson, and you can call me a homer, but I am not the only one.

He's right in the sweet spot. Not black enough for some and too black for others. :3-1:

Kind of sad that a Niner fan has a better and more accurate assessment of Russ than many Hawks fans.
Just sayin :stirthepot:

It's easy to forget, but when I'm watching a game on TV and he gets set for a deep throw where I have no idea what is going on downfield, I know it's really likely it's going to get caught. He's had a couple of over/underthrows and a couple of boneheaded interceptions, but when that dude sees stuff downfield he almost always puts it exactly where it needs to go.

Are those next generation stats comparing Wilson to all starters or only against Elite QB's, there is a difference :p

The highest degree of difficulty compared to the other elite quarterbacks.

That's a body.

Interesting note: Top 5 Hardest are all paired with defensive Head Coaches, I don't think that is a coincidence.

If you notice a lot of those are rookies, I think that says something in itself, Vets going with safer throws and taking what is given you. Dalton doesn't fit the picture really.

Pete wanting so many explosive plays does explain Wilson taking shots however.

Occam's razor. All underwhelming OC's when it comes to the passing game. Ranking these OC's in the passing game they are all bottom half of the league, and I am being nice.

We should stop letting the facts get in the way. Those who still refuse to accept the guy as what he is (a flat out great QB and one of the best finishers in the history of the NFL) don't like it :stirthepot:
