25 year old monster athlete that still can improve on things before he hits his prime. I'd rather we fire everyone who can't figure out how to get the ball in his hands 10+ times a game.
This. Whatever frustration I had with him is now completely directed at the coaches for misusing him.

Bye DK!

He's easily been figured out. When coaches are telling their players to get under his skin because he's a hot head who can't control himself, bye! Put it on Pete who can't control his players with his rah rah rah go team montra.

I like him and hope he stays a Seahawk. However, I wish he was more like AJ Brown is for the Eagles. He's a good player who has the potential to be great. I hope he gets there someday. His inconsistency could be the way he's been used as well. So not all of it is on him.

Isn't he the fourth highest paid receiver next to Diggs? He's hot and cold. He can be unstoppable and then disappear. He is worth the most for trade assets. We got young cheap guys to replace him. Get a QB with the first he brings, and lose the $25 million.

Good lord. We needed a true #1 for so long. Years.

Finally we got one. Now some would want to trade him?

We have a roster pockmarked with guys going through the motions, and basically being paycheck players. And some of you want to get rid of one of the few guys that still cares - because he takes it over the line too often?
Even though we would ABSOLUTELY lose more games without him. OK.
Some of you must be Mariner fans. That's the only thing I can think of that makes sense here.

I like DK, but he's the only guy on our roster that I can think of that we could afford to trade that might yield enough solid draft capital in an effort to get the most important position in all team sports potentially taken care of...QB. It's a hell of a lot easier to come up with a starting WR than a franchise QB. We need to be aggressive in our pursuit of a QBOTF, but somehow still retain enough draft capital to continue to build our roster.

i'd actually like to see most of the team play with much more bite and be so good we win in spite of the odd penalty

For the right price, absolutely, and it's not so much due to Metcalf's personality. Good wide receivers are a dime a dozen. We've devoted way too much draft capital and salary to the position to the point where it's a drag on the rest of the team. Trade him and give his snaps to Bobo.

If we're offered enough in trade, you would have to listen. And relying on a receiver who can be baited into getting ejected in the biggest moments isn't exactly a winning long term strategy.

Yeah, because he's hurt the team sooooo much
At least he f'ing cares. Unlike many on this team, who seem to be going thru the motions. The DK hate is beyond ridiculous. But I do enjoy a good laugh.
Be careful what you wish for, because when he goes to a team THAT ACTUALLY KNOWS HOW TO USE HIM, he's going to tear it up.

Funny how every other fan of teams we face think he’s an absolute monster but here in Seattle, we think he’s subpar.

Not. He’s a monster on the field. Deserves far more targets and does the intangibles that won’t show up in the stat lines.

He’s our best player…and it’s offensive to even mention trading this cat.

Just because you don’t like his green hair and threesomes doesn’t mean he isn’t who he is on the field.

If this team is smart, he’s a Seahawk for many years to come.

To me the team needs more guys who play passionately.
Absolutely not!
I want to see my great players be gladiators who fight to win and are not afraid of the consequences of fighting to win.

If Metcalf is the best player on the team ; as some have claimed ; then I suppose that would explain the 6-7 record .

Metcalf has stated that he will not change his style of play for any reason . Does that sound like a team player ? Trade him !

I like DK's passion. However, at some point he needs to learn that the refs typically penalize the retaliation, because that's what they see, and because they see that as escalating the situation into something potentially more dangerous.

There is no way DK has not been taught this. Multiple times. So I have to wonder if he's just incapable of adjusting, or if his temper is just so out of control that it doesn't matter to him.

Best player might be a bit subjective. If every player on the Seahawks roster were to become a FA I think it would be between Smith and him as to who was offered the most money over the next 2 seasons. That puts him in the conversation for most valuable or most coveted.
