If we were all sitting around talking about how great things are and gushing about 4-1, we'd get other divisional fans in here telling us "You haven't won anything yet."

If you're not a Hawks fan, your opinion about the attitudes and demeanor of Hawks fans toward their own team means significantly less around here. You're welcome to share, just know that it's essentially meaningless.

Just offering some perspective from the fan of a team that hasn't seen 4-1 for a long time.

Agreed. Three out of those four wins came against quality opponents, too. I really don't understand why there are so many negative nellies around here. The offensive line is a concern, but it's damn near the only weakness we have on the entire team. We are going to win a lot of games this year and we are entering a much easier part of our schedule. If the offense picks up the pace, we will be blowing teams out just like we did in the latter half of last year.

There is exaggeration flowing both ways, whether some one is 'negative nelly' or just a bit ignorant. One one hand, you say the OL is a concern, but then you spring forth with 'if the offense picks up its pace...' as if the two issues are not related in any way. Last time I checked, we had the starting OL against Carolina, SF and Jax. We won the Hou game in large part because of a super-low probability defensive play.

A 'concern' is something akin to a hang nail. You just clip off the annoyance and keep on trucking. I would say 'major problem' is more befitting for the current OL state as is the spotty and weak run blocking from our FB. Now Miller comes up lame to add to the pass and run-blocking issues.

But hey, that RW just needs to 'step-up' and 'pick-up the pace' because OL is just a luxury that gets no direct fantasy points. See how hyperbole works?

When it comes to OL, I prefer to keep it real rather than burying my head in the sand or bagging on a QB who is already doing more than all but a few can handle behind this crappy OL.

Why do you care?

Because I'm in this forum a lot.

You could just avoid my threads, though. Just saying...

Why? I actually want opposing fans here. I love other teams fans. But far to often it turns into passive trolling with little to no substance.

I post because I hope you can eventually contribute to the NFL or NCAA forums. We need outside perspectives. Eventually I'll give up, once I realize like most of the 49er fans, you're a fan of fanaticism and not football.

And?

Did I boast about the Rams' win?

This thread isn't about the Rams.

Sorry to disappoint you.

Okay, that was a lie.

I don't care what you think of me.

Master of understatement.

Some of us have to work and cant rely on our twink physiques to make ends meet. I will admit that when I double up on clients, seahawks.net pays the price. Baby comes in April, so until then, I'll be around...ALOT.

Attorney, by chance?
No, Martial Arts Instructor actually.

Interesting. ..what flavor? I train and teach LimaLama, Muay Thai and boxing. BTW...The attorney comment was actually, in this context, meant as a compliment.

Sure, I didn't take the comment negatively. I got it.

As far as our "flavor"... essentially it's Shaolin Kung Fu. But, it's a hybrid (as often is the case today) referred to as Chinese Kempo-Karate Jujitsu, emphasizing all 4 ranges of Self-Defense + some additional cross-training. I'm always open to learn whatever works. Ultimately, that's the goal... not holding to some view of having the "best" system. I trust you know what I mean and train with that in mind. I enjoy the privilege to teach alongside my oldest (adult) son.

Well said, Pehawk, as usual. (Other teams' fans contributions) "far too often turn into passive trolling with little to no substance."

Sorry if you think we're being mean to you, AvengerRam. But, you really are passively trolling. That's nice that you can find some to say nice things about you in spite of that. I'm indifferent as I really don't know you, but the only threads I remember with you is that you get upset real quick if someone disagrees with you or, in this case, dares to politely call out what you've said. :Dunno:

If you think I'm trolling, perhaps you're the one who is overly sensitive.

My original post was an honest observation. The mere fact that it came from a Rams fan does not make it trolling.

Awesome set of disciplines you have, sir. I am not as well rounded. I'm toast if it goes to the ground. I am from a family of boxers and now living in the islands, I've been really fortunate to train with some GREAT martial artists (I'm resisting the urge to name drop) in LimaLama, American Kenpo and a(nother) hy-bred called Yen ching Tao (really just a cross between the aformentioned).

My wife (in my avatar) is actually much better than I...she's an incredible athlete and very technical. Her and I train Muay Thai at the Fairtex in Thailand a couple months every year.

Have you looked into Lima Lama? Nothing else quite like it, especially if you have a passion for striking. Aloha.

Current Threads on the First Page of the message board:

Anyone else missin' the RRR?
Is Russell Wilson regressing?
Gotta say.....Michael Bowie is WAY overrated (this is my favorite FYI)
I am done with Sidney Rice
I hate losing.
Gumbel/Dierdorf this week (open it up to a post that just says "yuck")
And we complain about Bevell

It is actually pretty funny, and a little bit sad, how negative this board can be during what is easily the best time to be a fan in the history of this organization.

I have brought this up repeatedly. I don't want to discriminate, and I may be wrong, but I am of the opinion that it's the newer, or younger, fans that dive off the Hawk cliff so hastily.

This is now a world where if it's not instant...it's not gratification. Sports like boxing are dying off because of this new breed of fan, who prefer the instantaneous drama of MMA. Most people today want results, they want it now and most have little regard for the science it takes to get that end result. My advice to the younger generation would be to enjoy the journey. I've learned It's often better than the actual destination. Oh, and support boxing (please).

Honestly, I think I've posted in all the positive threads I could find... but no one really wants to talk about the positives.

Seahawks fans are just attracted to the pain. It makes them feel good. It makes them feel alive. They like the darkness as much as they are used to overcast.

We could easily be 2-3 right now. Panthers and Texans were way too close of games that we only came out on top from because of defensive takeaways around the 2 minute warning. For how much word is going around about being one of the best teams, I would be a lot more confident if we were dominating some of these teams. Granted we haven't lost by more than a touchdown in almost two years, but we need to put these damn teams away instead of letting them hang around and making it close; the Colts game was a prime example of this.

Dude... you're trying too hard.

Anyway...I've made my point. Some agreed, some think I hsve a sinister objective. Pretty much what I expected.

There's that passive aggressiveness showing through again. Pehawk really has you pegged.
