Doesn’t seem like the guy that would move a team out of a city, unless they are totally screwing him over.

Quick story: In 1999 I bought a wallet that lasted 17 years, I put a Sonics patch sticker in it. The wallet died and I wanted another 17 year wallet. I did some research and learned a double stitched wallet is the best. So I bought an expensive one, it lasted 6 months.

I bought a cheaper wallet and it's seems new after 10 years, 2 weeks ago I bought the same Sonics sticker patch for it. I am not superstitious, but I am telling you the time is now for the Sonics to come back home...it's happening!

Where there’s smoke there’s fire. And there seems to be more and more smoke surrounding this happening.

I don’t think one owner can own two sports franchises in the same city. Or so I’ve heard

I'm all for Balmer but I want nothing of the NBA idea.

Not true, Jerry Reinsdorf owned the Sox and the Bulls for many years.
After further review, there was a rule prohibiting an owner from owning an NBA and NFL team in the same city, however that rule was abolished in 2018.

Ballmer may buy the hawks but you'd need to be insane to move a franchise from the LA tv market to a smaller one.

What does everyone like so much about Ballmer? He's an awful person who's running the Clippers into the ground, is embroiled in a cheating controversy, and he tried to screw over Paul Allen. You know, the same Paul Allen who saved this franchise.

Reinsdorf owned the Bulls and Sox in the 80s till more recently.

Right, I think the stipulation was just for NBA and NFL for some reason, I don’t think MLB ownership applied to this rule.

I don’t know, I’m not sure why it would matter. But I remembered deep in my memory something about Paul Allen not being able to buy the Sonics because he already owned an NFL team in Seattle, and the Trailblazers

When were the Clippers ever above ground?!

Steve Ballmer buys the Hawks and to consolidate his businesses in the same town he moves the Clippers from LA to Seattle and renames them the sonics

Isn’t there some rule about owning a football team and a NBA team in the same city.

Paul and the trailblazers come to mind.

I easily could be mistaken but something is nagging at my memory

Remember part of the deal was that the Supersonics would be a expansion and not a transfer, would keep thier history and get that back as well as their name, so Clippers would not fit that mold.
