Key potential buyers and interested parties mentioned:
  • Jeff Bezos: The Amazon founder is frequently cited as the most logical, high-profile suitor due to his immense wealth and strong local ties, though some reports suggest he may not be pursuing the team.
  • Larry Ellison: The Oracle co-founder has long been interested in owning a professional sports franchise and has the financial means.
  • Steve Ballmer: The Los Angeles Clippers owner and former Microsoft executive has deep Seattle ties.
  • Elon Musk: Despite social media rumors and high-value speculation, there is no verified evidence that he is formally pursuing the Seahawks.
  • Other Potential Investors: Bill Gates, MacKenzie Scott, Howard Schultz, and Canadian billionaire Steve Apostolopolous have been mentioned as potential, less-likely candidates.
That's what they came up with.
Howard Schultz after the Sonics debacle....ah NO

Sorry Gents, I don't trust anybody on that list. Musk, Gates and Bezos are the 3 biggest jizz bags on that list. If one of them buys the Seahawks they will move the team somewhere else. I bet my phuccing house on it.

I don't see it happening if that jizz bag was owner.

The guy did live in Seattle for over 30 years and founded Amazon there in 1994.

Not saying he'd be my choice as owner but if he ended up being the Owner, I just want him to simply sign the checks and not Jerry-Jones things up.

From what I understand, Gates isn't a football fan and has no interest in the team. For clarity...If he wanted to buy them, I doubt he would move them as he's Seattle born and raised.

Bezos could certainly be in the mix of buyers. He wasn't born here, but has strong ties and I don't see him moving them either.

No idea what Musk would do with the team...but definitely have trepidation thinking about it.

I think Musk is the biggest mystery as to what he would do and quite frankly, I don't want to find out.

If I was given a choice just between those 3, I'd take Bezos who is the lesser of the 3 jizz bags.

Fortunately (unfortunately?) there are more than these 3, though.

Agree that all have baggage, but Bezos is prob the best fit of the 3 for continued success.

My preference is Steve Balmer. He has the deepest pockets and what he's done with the clippers is worth noting.

Excerpt:
Since taking over in 2014, Ballmer erased the toxic legacy of previous owner Donald Sterling, turning the Clippers into a "destination" franchise for stars. Until the current 2025-26 season, the Clippers posted a winning record every single year under Ballmer's ownership. This 14-season streak of winning records is the longest active streak in the NBA.

He is widely considered hands-on in a supportive, resource-heavy way, more closely resembling the early era of Mark Cuban rather than the disruptive meddling often associated with Jerry Jones. While he is deeply involved in the team's culture and data-driven strategy, he primarily empowers his basketball executives to make the final personnel calls.

Those sound like a good fit to support JS & MM.

I am good with Balmer buying the team, he absolutely knows the Allen family, partied with PA plenty and would likely not mess with the mojo. I would rather that be the case than Jeff Bezos making it the Amazon Seahawks.

Welp... At a recent Gates foundation town hall meeting. An employee asked Bill Gates if he was going to buy the Seahawks?
To which he replied...
His Billions are dedicated to his foundation and...
“I noticed they only have men on their team, and I’m not sure I can go with that,” Gates joked.

He said he hopes the team gets a good owner — and that Seattle gets a basketball team.

“This is a great city,” he said. “But my owning a sports team will not be a part of how I spend my time.”

I mean.. I hope the new owners don't really spend their time owning a team either.. let the professionals do it.. you just reap the cash cow, sit down.. and stfu

Mackenzie Scott is putting together a bid from my understanding. I think her net worth is around $50 billion

she have away 7.2 billion, got 36 billion from Bezos so she has a little loose change to still spend depending on how her ventures have worked out. I could see her and Jody being alighned in this.
