almost spit out my morning coffee. Thanks for that!Well, hello, sailor...![]()
Not enough wealth
I forgot that Ballmer was involved in trying to keep the Sonics in Seattle. And that he tried, unsuccessfully to buy a team to move to Seattle.I can see Balmer stepping in as the next steward if Bezos shows disinterest. https://talksport.com/nfl/4005336/los-angeles-clippers-owner-steve-ballmer-seattle-seahawks-sale/
Howard Schultz after the Sonics debacle....ah NOKey potential buyers and interested parties mentioned:
That's what they came up with.
- Jeff Bezos: The Amazon founder is frequently cited as the most logical, high-profile suitor due to his immense wealth and strong local ties, though some reports suggest he may not be pursuing the team.
- Larry Ellison: The Oracle co-founder has long been interested in owning a professional sports franchise and has the financial means.
- Steve Ballmer: The Los Angeles Clippers owner and former Microsoft executive has deep Seattle ties.
- Elon Musk: Despite social media rumors and high-value speculation, there is no verified evidence that he is formally pursuing the Seahawks.
- Other Potential Investors: Bill Gates, MacKenzie Scott, Howard Schultz, and Canadian billionaire Steve Apostolopolous have been mentioned as potential, less-likely candidates.
I don't see it happening if that jizz bag was owner.Sorry Gents, I don't trust anybody on that list. Musk, Gates and Bezos are the 3 biggest jizz bags on that list. If one of them buys the Seahawks they will move the team somewhere else. I bet my phuccing house on it.
From what I understand, Gates isn't a football fan and has no interest in the team. For clarity...If he wanted to buy them, I doubt he would move them as he's Seattle born and raised.Sorry Gents, I don't trust anybody on that list. Agree that all have baggage, but Bezos is prob the best fit of the 3 for continued success.I think Musk is the biggest mystery as to what he would do and quite frankly, I don't want to find out.
If I was given a choice just between those 3, I'd take Bezos who is the lesser of the 3 jizz bags.
Fortunately (unfortunately?) there are more than these 3, though.
She is still raising Dave Chappelle's baby.Where is Oprah?
Money talks sir.. no matter how much its hated lolHoward Schultz? This is one of the negatives of AI. No one in their right mind will give another Seattle team to that "Sell-out'
I mean.. I hope the new owners don't really spend their time owning a team either.. let the professionals do it.. you just reap the cash cow, sit down.. and stfuWelp... At a recent Gates foundation town hall meeting. An employee asked Bill Gates if he was going to buy the Seahawks?
To which he replied...
His Billions are dedicated to his foundation and...
“I noticed they only have men on their team, and I’m not sure I can go with that,” Gates joked.
He said he hopes the team gets a good owner — and that Seattle gets a basketball team.
“This is a great city,” he said. “But my owning a sports team will not be a part of how I spend my time.”
Mackenzie Scott is putting together a bid from my understanding. I think her net worth is around $50 billion
