Key potential buyers and interested parties mentioned:
  • Jeff Bezos: The Amazon founder is frequently cited as the most logical, high-profile suitor due to his immense wealth and strong local ties, though some reports suggest he may not be pursuing the team.
  • Larry Ellison: The Oracle co-founder has long been interested in owning a professional sports franchise and has the financial means.
  • Steve Ballmer: The Los Angeles Clippers owner and former Microsoft executive has deep Seattle ties.
  • Elon Musk: Despite social media rumors and high-value speculation, there is no verified evidence that he is formally pursuing the Seahawks.
  • Other Potential Investors: Bill Gates, MacKenzie Scott, Howard Schultz, and Canadian billionaire Steve Apostolopolous have been mentioned as potential, less-likely candidates.
That's what they came up with.

I'd be interested in Larry Ellison, just that I know he's competitive and seems to always have a strong team.

This seems like if you googled "famous billionaires".

Ballmer would be a slap in the face to the man who brought us this success.

I am a sailor. Ellison pours tons of cash into his Americas Cup teams. He seems to hire competent people and lets them do their thing. I think he would be a great candidate.

Why do you think Ballmer would be a slap in the face? Ballmer and Allen were close friends for 40 years. It was Allen that got Ballmer to buy the Clippers.

I like Ballmer of all the possible candidates for new owner because (1) he is a real sports fan, (2) he still lives in the Seattle area, (3) his net worth (over $145 billion) and (3) his close relationship to Paul and Jody.

Well, I guess if Paul can own the Blazers and Seahawks, then Steve can own the Clippers and Seahawks.

Howard Schultz? This is one of the negatives of AI. No one in their right mind will give another Seattle team to that "Sell-out'
