Any West Coast Super Bowl team will likely have to play back-to-back playoff games on the East Coast unless they are a #1 or #2 seed. It is very difficult to win back-to-back games on the East Coast, especially against the better teams. I don't see the NFC West producing a top 2 seed unless 1 or more of those teams suffer from injuries to key personnel.
The Seahawks are strong contenders for the NFC West title, even if they are 3rd on the betting lists. From a betting perspective the AFC is favoured to beat the NFC in the next Super Bowl so taking the Seahawks at +1100 for the NFC title would have more value than betting them at +2200 for the Super Bowl.
