It was a great game, but I also know that with every game like this that we win the chances of keeping Shane Waldron and Hurt around. Those guys are dead ends for this team. It's complicated for me, I want us to win but I also know that consequences for winning potentially set the team back in the long run.You sound like you're bummed they won. This is what I expected to see today from a select group.
Yeah i couldn't go to bed for like two hours (Central time here). Now we can go slaughter a bunch of lambs and make the dance? LFG!We are in if we win out..!00% no doubt in my mind.
I wish I had the link because it explained it simple but
we cannot lose another game.
What a game that was last night! I'm still amped thinking
about it.
im conflicted in the same way. Only hope is that the success means those guys are actually improving as coordinators... or that Pete's heavier hand is what was needed to drive home the messaging. It was a great game, but I also know that with every game like this that we win the chances of keeping Shane Waldron and Hurt around. Plus we won't have Jamal Adams starting hopefully. So we could probably win the Dallas rematch if things go similar. If the Hawks make the playoffs, they have the confidence in knowing that they have or can beat the teams they will face... except the 9ers. And with the 9ers. Who knows. IF they get to the point they are playing them, they will have closed the season with 4 straight wins, plus a victory in the wildcard round and will be riding a wave of confidence, no doubt. 5 straight wins with a close loss to the cowboys in week 13, a victory over the eagles in the reg season and (if they make it far enough to face the 9ers)a victory over them again in the wildcard - or Dallas. That team will be vastly more seasoned and prepared to take on SF than any time this year or last.
Not half as likely as you pitching a bitch fit, Eeyore.Talk of winning out and doing something in the playoffs when its more likely they drop the next 3 games. Lol.
Oh well, this thread was inevitable.
If the Rams and Vikings both win out too, no. But the Rams still play the 49er on the road, and the Vikings still play the Lions twice. So there was a lotta back and forth in this thread. Does anyone know conclusively, IF the Hawks win out, are they in for sure?
As I understand it, we need either the Vikings or Rams to be worse than us because of tiebreakers, that's why we would not ben f they started today. So there was a lotta back and forth in this thread. Does anyone know conclusively, IF the Hawks win out, are they in for sure?
I guess it's a week early to get scientific about it, and just take care of business this week. After Next week all the scenarios probably get really black and white. As I understand it, we need either the Vikings or Rams to be worse than us because of tiebreakers, that's why we would not ben f they started today.
Minnesota is on a third string QB with a good defense, but face the Lions twice
The Rams only really have to worry about the Niners, but Washington almost came back on them. Even a 2nd string Niner team could potentially beat them.
Personally I hope the Vikings are out and the Rams are in, and we get a chance to beat them. I think beating the Rams in the playoffs would be great.
IDK, how about the 2007 and 2011 Giants? 10-6, then they beat the undefeated Pats (who'd already beaten the Giants in the regular season)? In 2011 they were 9-7 and yet won it all.Except for the fact that the Eagles have been in a free fall lately. Hurts has thrown just one touchdown in his last three games and the Eagles have now lost three straight games. They are a decent team but they're in a huge downslope.
This team is going nowhere in the postseason. We're not a good team this season.
Hell I get up at 4am and I watched the whole thing.Yeah i couldn't go to bed for like two hours (Central time here). Now we can go slaughter a bunch of lambs and make the dance? LFG!
My fave game since the RW3 return beat down..Hell I get up at 4am and I watched the whole thing.
It was after 11:30 pm by the time I shut it off lol.
I did sleep good for the short time though.
LFG!
We're not the Giants. I have some huge reservations about our coordinators and game planning going into a postseason. I don't think we're going to all of the sudden catch fire, especially given our tendencies under Pete Carroll teams in the playoffs.IDK, how about the 2007 and 2011 Giants? 10-6, then they beat the undefeated Pats (who'd already beaten the Giants in the regular season)? Cinderella seasons don't come often, but they do on occasion happen...
So, about that blasting the Eagles would give us...Just to get blasted in the first round by the Niners or Eagles.
Why do some posters not allow fans to be critical? So weird. A win is a win but this season has shown holes in our squad, sadly. You sound like you're bummed they won, Spin. This is what I expected to see today from a select group.
