Who are we?

This is who we are. As frustrating as it is. We are a borderline playoff team. We need more talent to be a serious contender. There is enough here to build from but we need:

1. A better qb. Not a knock on Geno he’s good just not great.

2. Better play from the OLine. Again,
They don’t suck they have just been adequate.

3. Better discipline. Sadly we win this game if we just don’t commit stupid penalties and play better situational football. That’s on the coaches.

Question is how do you get there from here? To me it seems like 2 of
those 3 things are easily solvable. Coaches need to do a better
job and the OL is close,
Just need another solid guy. The Qb question is the hard one. Geno is fine. If everyone around him is good he’s very good. But wasn’t that the same Wilson problem?

So point is I guess….we need to find the next gem in the draft that falls to late round 1 or we need to grab that stud vet looking for a ring.

Hoping the glory from 10 yrs ago will magically reappear from the ether.

What we're not is the kind of team that should be trading a 2nd and a 5th for a half-year rental. All that did was move us from a fringe playoff team to slightly less on the fringe, while losing a pick in a round that has netted us foundational players like DK, Boye, and KW3 in recent years.

We can get a NICE CB in the first round. Pete is too scared to draft a QB, so he will take the safe pick, in a position we're deep at.

We're a team that has a ceiling of mediocrity, but as of now, we're just bad, bottom third of the league.
