I have no idea if we win or we lose. If I did, I'd own my own island.

All I know is I haven't been this excited for a Seahawks football game since the last time we went to the playoffs but got beat down by Santa Clara.

There is something in the air. It's fresh, and it's new and it gives us lots to look forward to.

I know we haven't played anybody yet, but who gives a shit? We play who's in front of us.

Check out the below image. (I snagged it off Reddit). If this doesn't give you hope for the future (and make you realize how stale our previous regime was getting) then nothing will.

Win or lose, we have lots to look forward to fellas. Pour a cocktail, grab your eats, and enjoy the game!

Love this post. This isn’t the NHL, NBA, or MLB where games number in the 80’s and 100’s….

There’s only 17 freaking games and we are 3-0. That’s undefeated through 15 percent of the season! I don’t care who you are “playing” and I don’t care what the outcome of this game is per se , you’d be crazy to not be pumped for this team.

It’s also nice to watch a game and (win or lose) not be completely bewildered by some of the situational and time management decisions of the coaches.

Agreed.

This is the most anticipation I've had for a game in a long time.

More than when we played Santa Clara for the WC. I knew that game wouldn't end well. Seattle simply didn't have "it" , whatever that is. I knew it was a matter of time before the miners took over. They were a better equipped, better coached team.

However things turn out today, I feel great about who is leading this team into the future.

Good teams win games when the odds are with them.

Great teams win games when the odds are against them.

We shall find out.

Great thread OP, love the love.

I just want to remind you all (and myself mainly) that if we drop this game for whatever reason, we have SO much to look forward to with this surging D, incredible new coaching staff...3-1 worst case scenario? How many teams would give anything to be 3-1 after Week 4?

As Marshawn would say..."Take care yo' mentals..."

No matter the outcome tonight, this team is on a winning trajectory.

LFG!!!

I'm atleast hoping for a competitive game tonight. If they can keep it close with a banged up front 7 then that is amazing. Going to watch if Macdonald can scheme against these injuries. If we get torched on defense i'm not gonna let it get to me too much with the state of our injuries, my biggest worry is stopping the run without Murphy and obviously Williams.

I also feel those rankings and numbers albeit against bad offenses/QB's so far also shows a big improvement. Were the QB's bad? Yeah but I also look at it with my own eye and the defense is always around the ball and visually looks much better than Carroll's Cover 3 mess in the last few years and also bad QB's torched Carroll's defenses as well. We are much, much improved with this scheme. I'm so happy to have Macdonald.

LFG!! IF we lose, I just want to see this team fight til the end. If they give it away, that's more of a gut punch. I just don't see the Hawks as the give it away type of team.

But.....the future is bright. A loss tonight doesn't mean this team was a farce or whatever. Even if it will be built that way.

10-4, Rubber Ducky! It's only Week 4 so the stats don't mean much, and a lot could happen during the course of the long season. But I'm more excited about this season than I have been about any other for at least the past 8 years.

That's not to say that I'm expecting a win tonight, to the contrary, I've gone on record as predicting a loss, perhaps in the double digits, but that's just me. Over the years, I've come to lower my expectations. It makes the losses easier for me to handle and the wins that much more exciting, kinda like being surprised on Christmas morning.

I have to say to everyone..

I want to win this freaking game. This is a great opportunity for some guys to show what they have and make it a hard decision for the coaching staff moving forward.

SEAHAWKS !!

Realistically, this why I’m not scared of the Lions they couldn’t win vs some bad defenses, and it’s arguable that the guys they have on the field today will still be better than anything the Lions have seen the last 3 years mostly because of coaching and scheme. Not top 5 better as if we had all our dogs but if this defense can still play like a top 20 unit and the offense can get it going like it has vs Detroit in the last three years, Seahawks can still win this game even if all the pressure is in the Lions to win this game.
