I was across the street in the hotel lobby, trying to buy tickets for the first quarter and a half.
Will a win today absolve the 49 debacle?

Don't know about public comments but from guys who were in that huddle (Luke Willson for one) that was the call in the huddle. So unless Russ didn't do what was said on the headset, it's on Carroll, Bevill

I try to tone anything related to Super Bowl 49 out, especially that play on the 2 yard line

I still say no, but it will make it the past… really the past and when they say remember that one time… we can say stfu you got lucky that day and now we curb stomped you so keep on reminiscing

To me a win today would be even better than if we had won 49. Winning two in a row would have been incredible and it was a devastating loss but to do it with a whole new group 11 years later gives us the chance to cement a whole new championship era for this franchise.
We've been middling for a few years which is what makes this so much sweeter. Yeah, its not 2 in a row but that doesnt take away from what that LOB team achieved, a SB, back to back NFC Champions and perennial playoff contenders.
This team has a chance to be a new group and a new era.
If we score from the 1 and win 49 I can almost completely garuntee we wouldnt be here now. Pete would likely be coach for life after back to back titles.
Everything worked out for us to change coach when we did and getting Mike is a huge part of us being here. Its been a long time coming.
