Why can't we play to our supposed strengths?

I just don't get it. What is wrong with trying to utilize our strengths and expose other team weaknesses? It's like the entire coaching staff is trying to prove a point by making things harder than they should be. Or are they just to lazy to even gameplay and are just relying solely on players to make plays with whatever ever play they pull out of a hat?

Why do that? The other team will be expecting that. :sarcasm_off:

The problem, and I say this without trying to be snarky, is a lack of intelligence and competence by our OC.

It is the reason we take a full half to do anything and the reason we do not focus on trying to find our niches or impose our strengths on the other team. The bottomline is that our OC is not able enough to do this, he needs a few quarters to feel out the defense and get a feel for where our strengths & weaknesses lie.

He cannot do this by studying film like most coaches, he needs actual game possessions to feel around in the game. That limits our ability to score for 2 quarters and it limits our ability to stretch a lead.

It really is more a function of the lack of intelligence or lack of competence on the part of our OC though. We cannot scheme weaknesses into our plays because we don't know them well before game time.

Just curious, what are our strengths this year? Not trying to pick a fight and love the hawks but just wondering. Super impressed with KJ and Wags, interior D line against run, and Sherm and Lane.
