Who starts at center?

I mean, at this point, they can't break up the Zabel/Sundell/Bradford interior, right? They're incredible together.

Sundell himself has been eye-popping. His speed to the second level and his lateral quickness fly off the tape. As good as Zabel has been, Sundell has been even more impressive for my money. He's a rare athlete and with a bit of seasoning, he's got top-5 center potential - ESPECIALLY in this outside zone scheme.

I can't see a way Olu earns the job at this point. Sundell is claiming the top spot with authority.

Does anyone think Olu still slots in as the starter week 1?

They say you don't lose your job due to injury, but it happens all the time. Olu missing so much time hurts his chances for sure.

If either Sundell or Olu merely becomes a top 10-15 center, I be good with that. Just give me an offensive line that doesn't want to make me gouge my eyes out. That would be a start.

I happen to like Olu but you can't be a good center with a bad back. Besides I like the Gray/Sundell connection.

Sundell is too good to be sitting on the sideline, IMO.

I don't have an opinion as to which one starts but hope this organization never fails to put the 11 best out there every week.
I feel like coaches get sentimental and have favorites even after a player has regressed physically.

I just really like having Sundell and Zabel playing next to each other. What they lack in NFL experience, they more than make up in terms of playing together. They know each other like seasoned veterans.

Sundell was elite in pass protection both ps 1/2. He was decent in the run week 1, but elite against KC.

IMO, Sundell is the superior athlete and is showing he has the instincts and intellect to leverage that athleticism. He’s won the job.
