What do you think of Gary Kubiak for future OC?

One thing I would be leery of is if Kubiak is as rigid with his play-calling as the Sherman pick-6 suggests. I also thought I read somewhere that he doesn't want his QB to audible (though this could be an exaggeration).

I have also heard this. If he refused to allow Russ to do so, then a big, fat NO to Kubiak. Otherwise, I'd be on board.

So you're saying if we no offensive improvement vs the Rams, and lose #1 seed because of it,. Then we go one and done in the Play-Offs because of more offensive woes, especially more bad game plans, failures to adjust, and more undiscilplined play that leads to more drive killing penalties.

You don't think Bevell will be on the hot seat? Okay, whatever....

We're 12-3 and three plays from being undefeated. Don't get worked up in the nitty-gritty of our particular unique playoff situation. Much of that was outside of Bevell's control. If we're projecting another season and asking ourselves how Bevell's general performance might serve us, it's ridiculous to kick him to the curb if we're 12-3 now. We're just scapegoating him because it's nice to think that just one thing can be fixed and lead to invincibility. The reality is that it's several things, including possible improvements at personnel.

I consider Bevell to be another Bradley. Could be worse, could be better. NOBODY was criticizing Bevell when we beat the Saints to put ourselves in the #1 seed in the first place. That was just weeks ago. Our offense is not "in complete disarray", that was 2009. It's a limited-by-personnel approach that's worked just fine for most of the season and suffered from bad execution Sunday.

A big no thanks to Kubiak.

Ugh.

Look at Houston's roster this year. There's no way they should be set for 2-14. He was in control of that.

No personnel decision making needed as OC. Kubiak would be a great fit.

How is Houston's struggle this year down to personnel?

It's not like their GM is doing a bad job is it? Look at their roster. He's built a genuine contender.

The offensive performance is entirely responsible for that disaster zone. And that's Kubiak's baby.

It's stunning that people would get him in over Bevell IMO.

No to Kubiak.

Bielema is very intriguing.

I dont think Bevell is going anywhere. He's yet to have Sidney and Percy healthy and I think after how much we've invested, we'll give Bevell a shot to play out his plans. I think Rice is coming back on a re-structured (and deeply discounted) deal. Now if Sidney and Percy stink next season, that will be on Bevell and it may be time to move on.

Seriously, I wish you guys wouldn't have made this into another freakin Bevell thread.

One did I absolutely state in my original post that I wanted Bevell fired or that wanted to annoint Kubiak?

NO and NO. I only took it there in my second post because someone had to turn this into another Bevell thread.

If you can't read, all this is was just a speculative inquiry of a new OC in any event that Bevell for whatever reasons wasn't our OC next year.

How simple is it to understand that?

There is no need to defend Bevell here or beat that drum against posters who are "speculating" and "inquiring" about future OC's and what they may bring in comparison to Bevell because we are trying to discuss a topic in the event that it might happen NOT that its going to.

If you feel the need to have to defend Bevell, post it in the million of other threads that are SPECIFICALLY about him or don't post at all.

Ppl on here can read just fine.

If I started a thread asking what fans thought of Aaron Rodgers for future QB, you'd naturally get a discussion about how Wilson wasn't going anywhere and how well he's done to this point.

I think someone is just a little heated that others have a differing opinion on Kubiak.

Relax.

No, actually I want opinions about Kubiak... its why I brought him up in form of a question. I only know what I know about him.

What I don't need is some people making this ultimately about Bevell, when there are already a thousand of topic SPECIFICALLY on him.

Is there anything wrong with random speculation (regardless if my view doesn't agree with others) or should I just wait for something to have happened first as fact before I can make any future inquiries about this team?

Edit: Also that is a poor example with Rodgers and Wilson.

We naturally know with 100% certainty Wilson isn't going nowhere for a long time

As for Bevell I'd give him 65% chance he remains with the team regardless of what happens AND a 25% he gets a HC job somewhere, and 10% chance he could be fired depending on his coaching performance from here on out.

So, Its not the same, and again I'm not trying to discuss Bevell even though I continue having to do so repeatedly, I'm trying to get information about Kubiak and what others think of him in accordance to our system as well as other potential OC candidates just for speculative reasonsto an event that probably won't occur but doesn't mean it cannot.

Then maybe you should talk about Kubiak in the NFL Forum. The Seahawks have an O-Coordinator right now.

Nobody criticized Bevell for the NO game because he got out of his comfort zone of predictiblity and mixed up the playcalling, and it WORKED wonderfully. I believe Seattle could have another 2 wins if it were not for his craptastic playcalling. They are 12-3 despite a crappy o-coord IMHO.

I don't think it matters where I posted it. Likely the reaction will be the same. Its whatever, I'm over it, its becoming perfectly apparent that you can't discuss certain topics around here without people hi-jacking it and always getting off the subject or someone beating the same drum in every other thread.

Would you prefer what usually happens? Having the "Mods" move it to another Forum? They must have gone to bed early this evening.

Being how this thread was created earlier this morning, and the first poster was a mod, I'm sure if they felt it needed to be in NFL Nation... they would have done so already.

With that said... with the way this has gotten clearly off subject... it should just be deleted.
