It wasn't too long ago that scalping, i.e. reselling tickets, was illegal. The law was changed to make it easier for fans to resell tickets that they couldn't use. But now people are taking advantage of the situation to make money.

It's a complex problem. Some say the problem is that the tickets are too expensive, but if the price is too low, then it actually gives the ticket holder more incentive to sell because the profit from reselling becomes larger.

Most people are going to do whatever benefits them the most, so we can't rely on ticket holders "doing the right thing." But we all hate to see the stadium taken over by opposing fans, so I think we do want the team to step in to try to implement reasonable measures to prevent resales.

This is complete BS

They flex games at a moments notice and now try to make it hard to resell the tickets because you can no longer make it because of the schedule change. People have jobs, liv out of town, book hotels and on and on just to find out on a Thursday that they changed the time and date of the game. Now they want to make it harder for you to resell at a moments notice. BS all the way.

I see it as a middle management problem. Competition right? Squeeze every nickel. That's how you get 19 dollar beers. Look how we screwed the consumer but they are still showing up in droves.

Reminds me Tom Petty’s “The Last DJ” when he sings:

As we celebrate mediocrity
All the boys upstairs want to see
How much you’ll pay for
What you used to get for free

I don’t care if some Seahawks fan sells a random ticket here and there. I care that some non Seahawks fan business buys season tickets and sells EVERY weeks tickets.
Except for, the teams sells tickets for corporations. Special boxes for the inhumans who are not persons but a corporation. Maybe not have those types of seats, and sell only to actual fans....BUTT, the NFL is addicted to ever increasing billions of $$$$'s, and now they pretend to care about the fans. They ONLY care that the seats are full, doesn't matter what team they support. In short, they do not GAF, except to posture and scare true Blue n Green fans from selling tickets.

A couple of thoughts on this issue.
As Lumen was being constructed, many STH’s were allowed to buy PSL’s for the new stadium. Once purchased, that person “owned” the license to the seats. If that person gets disqualified from buying ST’s , what type of compensation should they get?
Secondly, we went 2-14 in 1992. We were sold out, but no one had interest in going to a game. Any remedy for the STH’rs who lost out due to no demand?
