The Cardinals have a 2 year $12.25M deal in place for Tyler Allgeier… there goes that thought.

Guessing we only want a RB on a 1 year deal until Charbonnet is healthy and draft another.

Bummer. I think we're going to miss him, but I get it.

Walker could be great in Reid’s offense. They don’t smash mouth that much. He will not be overused. He is a home run hitter and Reid knows how to utilize a guy like that. I’m happy that he signed in the AFC.

Excellent destination for Walker. I would think Ken's best is yet to come.

Thanks for the good times you provided K9. I hope you have a prosperous and successful career in Kansas City.

Please do not take offense when I say you will be fairly easily replaced. It’s not your fault. Running backs are a dime a dozen. Yes, even talented ones.

Thanks for the memories!

Hard to hate the guy for what was a pretty predictable outcome. It's not like we don't have options going forward.
Thanks for the memories and good luck in the future.

I liked our Walker/Charbs combination ('creative'/'downfield') and would think we would be aiming to continue something similar;i.e-two new guys for 2026.

Walker's getting great money. I didn't think it was worth us paying him that much, but it might be for the Chiefs. Broncos and Chargers will only get better.

I am thinking we get Pacheco on a 1 year prove it deal or a relatively cheap 2-3 year deal.

With the Saints signing Etienne and the Chiefs taking Walker… those were the 2 teams that had mocked taking Jeremiah Love out of Notre Dame. Now I think it’s a pipe dream to find a way to get a situation to draft him but he would be the pipe dream replacement for K9. I don’t see how he lasts until 32.

I expected to lose Walker based on all the talk and based on what he got, I get it. But I hate that all the Plan B guys in my head seem to be all gone too. Are they seriously thinking the answer is in house? The only other guy I can think of right now is Dowdle

I think we can find someone in the draft. Perhaps I am delusional and that is entirely not off the table, but, I just don’t lose sleep over running backs. I think they are fairly easily replaced. They are not quarterbacks or left tackles or highly coveted pieces that are hard to find. They just aren’t.

With a good offensive line and scheme, there are plenty of running backs who can do what K9 did in the last month of the season. And remember, durability was a huge issue with him. We just got lucky that he peaked and stayed healthy for us at the perfect time.

Again, thank you K9 for all you did for us. I wish him nothing but the best.

Now wake me when Shaheed is gone. That is when I will shed a tear.

I said before that I think the Hawks "need" to sign a cheap(ish) veteran looking to join a playoff team on a 1 year deal. We pay much less than Walker is getting, and we don't have to worry about wear and tear on the vet because he's likely just here for 1 year. We use him as much as we see fit. We probably need to draft another RB, but not many picks so likely a RB who falls to 4th or 5th round, and we'd probably have to trade back to pick up extra picks

An expert recently told me that we're doomed once the 2nd round is over, so I guess JS is stumbling around now in a panic

I can't wait to see the recipe, but it won't be soon.
