While this sucks. And I wish we could have kept him, this is wasted money by the chiefs. Walker will need to have another back help take carrys off his body. He hasn't shown to stay healthy a full season i wish him the best but I think the chiefs over payed.
How many games as Walker missed during his several seasons here, 11 games? Is that a lot?

Seems a lot of posters here seem to think, RB's are a dime a dozen, yet, if you look across the league, half those teams are lacking any running game. I know of two teams that have to be very delighted that the Seahawks will rely on one of those dime a dozen backs..

Yep, he wasn't nearly the "injury prone" guy he was made out to be. And no, he won't be easily replaceable.
But at 15 a year, thanks.

Thank you for everything, K9. You'll always be a Seahawk. It's difficult to leave more on top.

I hate the Chiefs, but I hope you set the record for most productive rushing season for a three-win squad.

Its enough to me. He only went over 1000 yards twice. While he didnt miss games this year do to injury, it most likely was the reason why he wasn't the primary back at the beginning of this past season. Seems like he was always injured early or started off hot and got injured later in the year when it mattered most. Although im not happy he left i really wanted him to stay because he is the one of the better backs in the league, but not at 50 mil over 3 years.

It's not $50 million over 3 years. ESPN is reporting that it's $43 million over 3 years.

The Chiefs sort of have the right idea, but poor execution. They understand that Mahomes is past his prime, and that he and the WRs can't carry the team to a championship, so they have to finally improve the run game to help the passing game instead of vice-versa. The problem is that walker had 4 years to take the job and run with it (pun intended), and he never did. As long as he stays healthy he should make them better, but at a heavy cost for what he's likely to give them.
My guess is they don't want to risk wasting the last few good years Mahomes has left on a rookie RB, and feel that overpaying for Walker is the less risky move.

Welll not much of a difference. I wish home well but glad we didn't pay that much for him.

There are a couple of RB within our range, and J. Love is getting closer and closer. All the radio heads are talking about 'positional value,' and I think the teams that were mocked to pick J. Love are paying attention to that by signing FA RBs.

Now they can pick a player based on P.V. such as DB or WR, someone that they can use the 5th year option on, and resign to a long term extension.
Bruddha…I’d love this but no way we have a shot at him.

I’d LOVE this..I mean

Mike Washington Jr., Arkansas, 6-1, 223 lbs. - The fastest running back at the Combine and this year's Draft. There's something about these Arkansas football prospects - there must be something in the water because they're all fast in the backfield. Washington has the burst and explosiveness to be an effective back at the next level.

Nicholas Singleton, Penn State, 6-0, 219 lbs. - Singleton put together a stellar career at Penn State as a running back who not only could rush the football and set records, but also showed great hands out of the backfield with kickoff return skills to boot.

Jonah Coleman, Washington, 5-8, 2220 lbs. - Coleman is a total bowling ball that gives tacklers very little to hit. He's a real handful to get on the ground-and tackle breaking abilities translate well to the NFL. It would have been nice if Coleman worked out at the Combine and that could be considered a red flag, but he is reliable and productive with a style that should translate well.

I would think these guys would be close to the top of our list, first two more of a Wlaker emulator but as a bowling ball, yes we could use one and let Charbs be the receiver with Holani.
Nailed it!! That’s who I want. Washington…think this kid will be special.

It’s a good think my K9 jersey was on back order.

I’m definitely thankful for him and can’t be mad..he got paid.

But if you leave the Hawks while still active, it’s pretty much FU2.

So K9…May you fail miserably. Thanks for the memories tho!

3 YEARS, 43-45 mil, according to ESPN. WAY too much, imo. Glad we moved on.
Got that bag. Great dude and a hell of a player. Good fit for him. He also played college ball at Michigan State, so weather is not a factor. He gets to play with Patrick fricken Mahomes.
Imagine getting a Massive Bag AND getting to play with Mahomes a year after winning a SB and being the SB MVP.

K9 is currently living a charmed life right now.

With the Saints signing Etienne and the Chiefs taking Walker… those were the 2 teams that had mocked taking Jeremiah Love out of Notre Dame. Now I think it’s a pipe dream to find a way to get a situation to draft him but he would be the pipe dream replacement for K9. I don’t see how he lasts until 32.
So Etienne is gone, too?

We may have to rely on Holani and Macintosh this season.

Yeah, even harder to fault K9 for taking a bag when it's from a potential contender.

I hope he gets the Chiefs to the Super Bowl, against us, and his replacement gets the MVP.

If the Chiefs don't improve their OL, they'd be hard-pressed to get to 8 wins at this rate.

Given what they paid for K9, I feel certain they are prepared to take care of other issues they had in '25.
