Walker could be great in Reid’s offense. They don’t smash mouth that much. He will not be overused. He is a home run hitter and Reid knows how to utilize a guy like that. I’m happy that he signed in the AFC.

Useful to note this difference in offenses ...........................

Seahawks logged a run pass run ratio of 51.3% run and 48.7% pass.

Chiefs logged a run pass run ratio of 42.4% run and 57.6% pass.

Walker should thrive in KC open space.

More than halfway through this recent season and last year I was all for not wanting to re-sign Walker, it was only later in the season that his running style changed and he danced less laterally which allowed him the ability to constantly make positive yardage.

Running backs are a whole lot more fungible than many think and while Walker was special going down the stretch and in the playoffs his 4 years in Seattle were never consistently special, at times he was good and then he wasn't or was nicked up and he loved to dance at the LOS resulting in frequent negative or un productive plays. The team will find another good or maybe even great RB.

I'm happy for him and hope he got that bag he was looking for. Thank K-9 for your time here, good luck in KC or wherever they plan on having their homefield.

I think most of his dancing was because of players in his face.

With the Saints signing Etienne and the Chiefs taking Walker… those were the 2 teams that had mocked taking Jeremiah Love out of Notre Dame. Now I think it’s a pipe dream to find a way to get a situation to draft him but he would be the pipe dream replacement for K9. I don’t see how he lasts until 32.

There are a couple of RB within our range, and J. Love is getting closer and closer. All the radio heads are talking about 'positional value,' and I think the teams that were mocked to pick J. Love are paying attention to that by signing FA RBs.

Now they can pick a player based on P.V. such as DB or WR, someone that they can use the 5th year option on, and resign to a long term extension.

While this sucks. And I wish we could have kept him, this is wasted money by the chiefs. Walker will need to have another back help take carrys off his body. He hasn't shown to stay healthy a full season i wish him the best but I think the chiefs over payed.

Mike Washington Jr., Arkansas, 6-1, 223 lbs. - The fastest running back at the Combine and this year's Draft. There's something about these Arkansas football prospects - there must be something in the water because they're all fast in the backfield. Washington has the burst and explosiveness to be an effective back at the next level.

Nicholas Singleton, Penn State, 6-0, 219 lbs. - Singleton put together a stellar career at Penn State as a running back who not only could rush the football and set records, but also showed great hands out of the backfield with kickoff return skills to boot.

Jonah Coleman, Washington, 5-8, 2220 lbs. - Coleman is a total bowling ball that gives tacklers very little to hit. He's a real handful to get on the ground-and tackle breaking abilities translate well to the NFL. It would have been nice if Coleman worked out at the Combine and that could be considered a red flag, but he is reliable and productive with a style that should translate well.

I would think these guys would be close to the top of our list, first two more of a Wlaker emulator but as a bowling ball, yes we could use one and let Charbs be the receiver with Holani.

For a franchise known more for defense (90’s and Tez, LOB, Dark Side), we have had some great backs wear Seahawks uniforms.

Now we can add Kenny to that list with emphasis on his playoff and SB performance. I’ll be forever grateful for his time here and wish him the best. I agree that it’s just too much to pay for a back moving forward and I wish him the best.

Jonah Coleman is over a ton? He must of went on the Eddie Lacy diet. Holy smoke who is going to bring him down? Could solve OL issues with just one draft pick.

We will be fine; The sky is not falling because we aren't blowing wads of cash early
trying to look better than we are.
We will find RBs that fit better, while they might not be as flashy when K9 is on,
we will get production with our solid OL paving the way.
