We need more QB's with all these receivers we have in camp, not enough arms to throw to them all, Wilson and Paxton will have nothing left by preseason.

This is always one of my favorite days but it's annoying how much misinformation there is. If you believe all of the UDFA signing reports then the Seahawks have 94 people on their roster, and that isn't counting the people invited to rookie mini camp.

I thought there were one or two UDFA arms signed. :?:

Really like the UDFA signings this year. Filled with interesting prospects at WR and DB.

Really trying to get those positions sorted out for the future.

Makes sense since we seem pretty established at OL, QB, RB, LB and DL. Maybe could add another edge rusher in the next phase of FA, but I'm pretty happy with our lines right now.

I want to see some non-highschool film on Noah Dawkins. Apparently he had a good game against Alabama which is hard to do when you don’t have much help.

What is the difference between a mini-camp invite and a UDFA contract? Are they the same thing?

The rookie mini-camp will be populated by those signed to an UDFA contract and by those not under contract but invited to participate for a look and possible contract offer. If an Invite impress, they may be offered an UDFA contract.

I noticed the latter had a lot of success throwing to Dallas Goedert.

Plus the 11 draft picks and any players from last year's draft who were injured and went to IR or any the team thinks might need more training work.

So far there appears to be no published list of the players actually signed to UDFA contracts. These are the same as futures deals with no guarantees. This list is by no means believed to be reliable but echos reports. There is always a lot of confusion between camp invites and players who actually have deals with the team. every year i ad players to the roster who are just tryout guys, so in the spirit of accuracy I am being slow to list these guys as these players a highly in flux. As well JS and PC have indicated they are intending to mine the FA pool in good time to help the DLine so these UDFAs may be short lived and are in a great number than usual for the team. Expect lots of roster churn.

From reports these appear to be the guys signed:

1. Baylor CB- Derrek Thomas
2. Texas, CB- Davante Davis
3. SoDSU, QB- Taryn Christion
4. WKU, TE- Mik'Quan Deane
5. New Mexico, WR- Delane Hart-Johnson
6. Northwestern State, WR- Jazz Ferguson
7. Utah, OL- Lo Falemaka
8. Ohio State, OL- Demetrius Knox
9. Utah, OL Jordan Agasiva
10. ASU, S- Jalen Harvey
11. OK, RB- Marcellus Sutton
12. EWU, DT- Jay-Tee Tivili
13. ASU, DE- Warenski Aime

These are from Twitter reports and from A field gulls.com article on signed UDFAS

Before this weekend, there were no former Florida State football players on the Seattle Seahawks’ roster. What a difference a day makes.

First, Seattle selected Seminole defensive tackle Demarcus Christmas in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft on Saturday. The Seahawks then followed up by signing FSU’s Nyqwan Murray from the undrafted free agent pool. And now Walvenski Aimé is headed to the Pacific Northwest as a UFA as well.

After a couple of seasons at Fort Scott Community College in Kansas, Aimé (6’5, 270) joined the ’Noles in 2016. An impressive and versatile athlete, he began as a defensive tackle but finished as a defensive end. Aimé concluded his Florida State career with 50 tackles, three for loss, four QB hurries, and a pair of blocked kicks.
