Sam proved he is one.

Milroe is still a mystery but I'm starting to lean toward giving him a few seasons before tossing out judgements, especially when there really is not much value for him at this time anyway as far as being a trade'able asset.

Milroe has not done anything, Lock is at least capable of running the offense.. Milroe is a project and still is until he shows he isn't with at least pre season domination.

If Darnold goes down in the 2nd quarter with an injury that keeps him out the rest of the game, Lock gives us a good chance to win the game (with our D carrying the biggest load).
If Milroe comes in our chances of winning are much lower than with Lock. How limited do they need to keep the playbook for him? If they do stupid "trick" plays with him, is he going to keep turning the ball over?

The Hawks D is good enough to win with Trent Dilfer, so it makes sense to go with someone more in that vein (Lock) rather than a low floor/high ceiling (allegedly) qb like milroe. Doesn't matter what his ceiling is in 5 years because next year we would most likely get his floor.

Willis has looked incredible, honestly. I can see both why teams would be both excited and hesitant.

I don't think he's the next Darnold.

Sam is an exception because he was a 1st-Round QB with first-round talent that was selected where he was for a reason.

It's just that surrounding circumstances prevented him from reaching his potential until much later (and on a different team than the one who drafted him).

He's an outlier in that regard.

Malik could be the next Matt Flynn, though.

In a typical season, around half of the teams keep a third QB on the roster. Why does it seem so far fetched tgat the Hawks would?

He costs us around $4 million total to keep around for the next three years. The only real consideration is the spot on the 53-man roster that he takes up.

If we can get more than we spent with sam obviously having won a superb owl there's no way he's going anywhere and lock's fine but nothing to write home about so some poor qb needy teams possibly still looking and would take that shot , I mean it'd suck for him , jets rayduzz gnats brownies and cards and a few more are hungry and cuz he had a year with kubz i'd give it a possibility and when you got ONLY 4 picks you may make that trade especially if there's someone you wantiu
