You know I have to give you a tough time brother! I'm for keeping Milroe and developing him another season , he'll improve as a Seahawk or he'll be worth more in a trade.

The problem is that as things currently stand the NFL can't support minor league operations as the CBA specifically prohibits it. The CBA says NFL owners can't use NFL revenue, (to which the current players are entitled to 49%, or thereabouts), to develop players that would replace the current players. The owners could set up their own 2nd tier league with their own money. However, that league would need to be earning money as a going concern AND not cutting into the NFL's revenue for there to be no conflict of interest.I do wish the NFL would use the UFL as a developmental league. Financially support the league, each UFL team is tied to an NFL team. Put those teams in market starved cities. Just a thought
I did not know that! Thank you for bringing that up.The problem is that as things currently stand the NFL can't support minor league operations as the CBA specifically prohibits it. The NFL can work with other leagues and outside owners. It can influence minor leagues to adopt rules that the NFL might want to adopt as a trial measure to save the NFL from trying them. The NFL can open doors for tv and sponsorship.
Good thing you turned off the option to "change your vote" or someone would most definitely make it 13.I’m thankful to have 12 people vote for the final option: SeahawkSteve80 is a troll and this pole sucks.

SameWe finally drafted a QB -- and one who has an incredible upside. But Slingin Sammy D is still young and isn't going anywhere and Lock is a competent backup. So, i'm trading Milroe only if someone blows us away with an offer, which I doubt will happen.
Considering that Milroe was only drafted last year, using a 3rd round pick on him, anything less than a 3rd on return is a horrible use of draft capital. The second highest graded QB in the upcoming draft is Ty Simpson out of Alabama. Simpson could not beat out Milroe at Alabama. I have seen lots of mocks with Simpson in the first round. Those that don’t have him in the first round have him in the second round.
So if a guy who couldn’t beat our 3rd round pick to start in college is this high on most draft charts, wouldn’t that make Milroe a more sought after commodity? If Milroe was in the 2026 draft would he be the second QB drafted behind Mendoza.
If I was the Raiders GM and my newly hired head coach had inside info on Milroe, I might be seeing what I could get him for in trade. I could then trade that overall number one pick for a slew of picks and possibly players. Milroe is a known commodity to KK. What do they really know about Mendoza?

You can’t develop a guy is doesn’t have the talent to develop. He was a waste of a 3rd round pick.No. You draft a guy to develop, and you stick with the plan to develop him. Cutting bait early is what makes it a wasted pick. In a similar manner, the Vikings cut bait with Sam before McCarthy was ready.
We knew was raw coming in, and Kubiak did him no favors. I think we can’t make a call on his potential until his third preseason.
