Lately, I've noticed that teams are running right at Tony McDaniel - and having good success. I'm a little worried that if we don't improve our run defense before the playoffs start we are going to run into trouble. Anyone else think McDaniel is a bit of a liability?

Kearly is spot on about this guy. For some reason he always throws the RB 5 yards forward instead of 5 yards back, really frustrating today.

Hopefully Jesse Williams can get his knee right while on his redshirt year. If he's physically right, he can be a beast at that position next year.

Yeah I noticed a couple times today he tried to pick James up and twist/slam him down rather than stopping his forward momentum. I think he may have even flexed in celebration one time. We get it, you're strong, but giving up 5 or 6 yards on 1st down is nothing to celebrate.

Probably because he hasn't done anything yet?

Bringing this back to McDaniel, is anyone else worried about how high he plays or how he gets turned oby blockers at the point of attack?

He was involved in more plays than mebane and Bryant. McDaniel did get good penetration a few times. Hate to say it, but when teams double mebane and run away from Red and towards the smaller clemons our linebackers are struggling getting to the running back.

Couple key adjustments in 4th quarter was getting Browner off of Jackson was he was lined up in slot (first and hopefully last time I have seen bb lined up on slot). They bumped kj out wide near the slot so browner could move out to his normal place and key adjustment was getting Kam up in the box more involved in run game.

They were targeting browner and Wagner heavily in the short passing game.

Avril played really good today. Pass rush showed up right at the right time.
