Idk why but I was hoping we would take Milroe. Just didn't think it would happen so soon.
Mannnn….I was definitely Eeyore posting…like, JS isn’t taking a damn QB. That feeling like they need to take a shot but, don’t get your damn hopes up.

Posted that stuff…son sitting next to me watching the draft (fellow Hawk Fanatic)…told him we’re picking Milroe….

Bruh…..true story. I’ve called them wrong before…legitimately wrong. But, on this end, we were hoping for Milroe.

I remember grabbing the dude from green bay on a big contract. We were all excited. Then a little bit later, selected russ at number 75. Most of us were flipping out. Then we won super bowl. Praying for a repeat here! Either way..loving this draft

Fans overwhelmingly praised the Russ pick when it happened. This isn't anywhere near as comparable as some on here are suggesting. Russ was a much more polished passer who was only available that late because he's short.

The stats are literally not that different.. and he still maintained an average after switching coaches with one starting season.....

Wisconsin/NC ran an offense for that style... Bama.. did not.. and has never... and Milroe still ran for 20 TDS as a QB with 20 + passing TDs under Saban

bring in the lesser Coach.... still performed.. more ints of course because of scheme... but apparently this matters not to all the "gurus" here

Russ's last college season: 3175 yards 72.8% completions 33 TDs 4 INTs

Milroe's last college season: 2844 yards 64.3% completions 16 TDs 11 INTs

Yeah, literally not that different.

Milroe late in the year against 6-6 Oklahoma: 11/26 164 yards 0 TDs 3 INTs in 24-3 loss. Literally not that different from many games Russ had, right?

And Milroe isn't. He's a beast, and if he develops as a passer, we may have struck gold. Time will tell. One thing is certain, we went from a team that was unwatchable much of the time to one that will be must see tv again. Bonus.
