THey were saying on the radio, the official didn't have to pull the penalty on Riq and shouldn't have but should have just yelled at him to get the hell out of there. In the same manner that the official came over and protected JSN in that Texas game. Basically the official was being a jerk. They could have flagged one of the Rams player when he came over earlier and was jawing at MM but didn't.
It's pretty hard for us or the announcers to judge as we/they can't hear what was said. It happened right in front of the ref, so whatever was said had to have been pretty bad.

Besides, as has been discussed in another thread, Woolen has apologized and asked for forgiveness, which is an admission of guilt.

That hit on JSN could have knocked him out of the game.

The defender squared up, and launched himself at JSN - helmet first.

Even in slow motion it looks brutal. In real time, worse.

It was an egregious no call, much worse than that incidental face mask the refs didn't call against the Hawks earlier.
It could not only have given JSN a concussion, but is the kind of hit that can seriously injure the defender too. JSN didn't 'duck' into the hit either like some of those are that are called. The defender was below him, aim, and hammered him with a helmet-to-helmet.

We won. But that was complete BS.

That hit fortunately hit him on the shoulder and not the helmet.

Last thing we want is for our best receiver to get a concussion because of a little bitch.

The taunting call was the most glaring. Feel like in that situation you don't call it, its common sense. Could have swung the game by so much. If you are going to call it then call it throughout for both teams as everyone was smack talking.

We got away with a facemask on Stafford early in the game in a key situation and im not sure Kupp got that first down late in the game.

Felt it was DPI on the Shaheed play.

Yeah, I felt that with the obvious consequences, the taunting penalty is one you don't throw in that moment in a championship game. You have to give the players a bit more leeway there. Riq's actions don't affect the game in a substantive way.

I am very glad they called the obvious hold against Cooper Kupp by Colbie Durant.

I too thought they were superb, which is unfortunately unusual as of late. Even the taunting penalty on Riq you could tell the official didn't want to throw, Riq made him do it by not letting up.

Fingers crossed we get similar officiating in 2 weeks.
Yup.

Riq just wouldn't let up & took it too far.

Or how about the defenseless receiver when the db lowered his helmet and popped JSN on the long ball or the DB who picked Darnold up and slammed him.

*** them

What about the early push out of bounds causing the ball to hit the wr in the helmet where his hands were prior to the push but it was supposedly uncatchable???!!! Yea right uhh huhh. There were more than a few hold/tackles of pass rushers in the back field too. They do ease up a ton on a lot of penalties like that and DPI/OPI in the post season which is cool as long as it goes both ways and does not get absurdly out of control.

The taunting call could be one of these calls. We just assume he deserves it based on past history.

Somebody said the Hawks won because they were good enough to overcome the fix. Kind of a stretch, but sure, believe whatever you want to in order to motivate yourself as a fan. In any case, the team was definitely good enough to overcome the Rams.

The Rams were pushing and taking cheap shots all night. They were taunting after every play and just being d*cks whenever they could.
Maybe they were trying to Brandon Browner us. It kinda worked on us. Maybe that was the genesis of the Woolen debacle, since he tends to be emotional and easily swayed.
I don't know what they were saying to Woolen, or what other cheap crap they were pulling on his teammates but for some reason McVay teams are full of players pulling cheap & dirty BS regularly.

Puka was taunting after every catch, almost. Other Rams were too. No calls.

For some reason the refs allow the Rams to get away with a lot. Watching the Seahawk highlights, in the background you often see so many uncalled clutches, grabs, and borderline PIs by the Rams secondary.
I'd like to respect the Rams, like I do the 49ers (Warner excepted) but they just carry themselves like collosal doucheb*gs. Constantly. Not sure why.

It stems from the coach probably. Great offensive mind but that dude seems like he is constantly trying to compensate for something. (Tiny penis disease? no idea)

You're referring to Kinchens who sacked him and then danced like a fool in his face (which wasn't taunting apparently)?

Oh and one more thing :

The ruling of JSN out of bounds after letting the clock run 30 seconds off and then stopping the game to reset it back to 3:00 minutes. WTF?
I thought that was perhaps the most ridiculous. Didn't help that the call was changed after a nice long conference between McVay and no less than three refs. And he didn't even use the challenge flag. Definite WTF moment. And the 30 added seconds had the potential to be game changing.

Teams have been trying to kill JSN for six weeks because they knew where we were headed. I'm just glad he's okay at this point. It's been pretty egregious.

Woolen walked across the front of the team on the sideline it was more then just a celebration, almost baiting them.

According to the ref who called the penalty, he told riq to turn around and go back to his bench, and he just kept on jawing, so he finally threw the flag. Had he followed orders, the flag would not have been tossed.
