My god Ringless, do you really care if Aldon's a bit troubled? I mean, genuinely care? The answers no. It's all phony and self-aggrandizing morality.
Why do we all need to act like the NFL are parents and the players are children. These are grown men, I couldn't care less whether their choir boys off the field. These are dudes willingly enduring brain damage for a living, so, it's not like they're the sharpest tools in the shed.
Who cares. Bunch of lace-curtain gossips.
My main point is that I believe the 49ers will pay dearly if they keep him, he won't be able to stay out of trouble. There are a lot of smart, talented, intelligent players as well. They don't all have to be as stupid as this guy. I do actually hate to see talented players make stupid mistakes because I appreciate the beauty of their craft believe it or not. He is a special talent. But at the end of the day they are still employees, and still have to protect the image of their franchise, they still have to have responsibilities. If I was an employee of a multi billion dollar corporation I doubt I'd have a job after the shit he's pulled. Aldons actions don't just affect him, he is not better than any of us on this board just because he plays football. Each time he does something stupid it means his teammates, coaches, and fans pay for his mistake, it's not just him and thats the real problem... There are 52 other players on a team with one goal in common of winning a super bowl, and his decisions directly impact the chances of all the other 52 players that are sacrificing their bodies to achieve it.... Does that make sense? . It means he takes up a roster spot but doesn't get to play and brings negative light to the franchise creating drama. If Larry Fitzgerald acted the way he does consistently I would want him cut. I'd always be worried about the next time we are going to be missing a key piece of the puzzle because I knew trouble was lurking around the corner. Russel Wilson seems to be a pretty sharp tool, and there are thousands of players that would love to have Aldons job and I bet there are thousands that would be willing to make better choices off the field.
