This defense needs a nickname. What's soft and squishy in the middle and easily spread out all over the place?
Maybe a Jellyfish?

The LBs are terrible.
Seems the corners are used wrong, but really why bother testing them? The middle is open all day.
12 yard passes up the middle and 7 yd runs up the middle seem like they are going to haunt us for a while.

And don't forget all the mistakes the Rams made dropping wide open passes and letting defenders catch runners in the backfield.
And this is the Rams doing this....not a great team or even a good team.

We can't cover the middle of the field, I love Bobby but he is a big part of the problem.

It's the SpongeBob defensive scheme. Spongy and full of holes

They're giving it up on the outside as well. Anywhere they want to go in the passing game it is completed.

Jellyfish sting more than this D.

Maybe the Doughboys. Rams are poking them in the soft middle and they just giggle.

No pass rush. Makes it harder on the corners, especially given how poor our safety play is.
Weird it feels like this game is over and we are only losing by 1 - soon to be 4.

But does it matter when the defense is almost assured to give up either 3 or 7 each drive?

Good pressure on that 3rd down. Rams have to settle for FG.

Hurrt needs to start updating his resume.
He is a soft DC that wants to play a passive coverage soft zone defense, letting the opposing QB play pitch and catch all day long.

They're getting pressure, the problem is guys are college open.

Stafford was pressured on that misfire, but it was incomplete due to WR and he not being on the same page. He was wide open.

Agreed with OP and Fattyknuckle, this defense is a day late and a dollar short.
The Rams are ahead of everything Seattle is trying to do. And yes it's coaching . Seattle is not as good as they thought they would be.

Hurtt is no match for McVay.
