No, we brought a blitz on both plays because with clem out we could not generate pressure with only 4. Not having a legit every down defensive end hurt us today and ultimately in my opinion was the difference in this game.

-- I hate to ruin your insightful narative, but we weren't in a prevent. We blitzed Winston Guy on the first play and Trufant on the second. Unfortunately it was our young MLB who didn't get to his spot on both cases. It was a matter of feel on both plays, and the more game snaps he processes, the better that will get. But can we not act like we sent 3 rushers and dropped everyone else 30 yards back. That is NOT what happened at all.

It was a great game between two great teams. Why not leave it at that? As far as a pass rush goes, the Falcons just don't give up many sacks. It's nothing unusual...

Falcons fans should send a thank-you card to their team for playing, overall, a slightly better game than the Seattle Seahawks. Lots of stuff we could have done differently, lots of what-ifs in a close loss, but the Falcons earned their win.
