If we make the playoffs, this game could affect seeding, but at the moment, we don't control our own destiny for any particular seed. It comes down to what Atlanta and Tampa do.
Atlanta schedule: @ WAS, vs CAR
Tampa schedule: vs CAR, vs NO
Keep in mind, these scenarios assume Cards over Rams, and Hawks over Rams, so that doesn't need to be pointed out. And no, I'm not necessarily claiming I think those things happen, this is a hypothetical.
Atlanta and Tampa both win out:
Seattle gets 3 seed with win @ CHI, 4 seed with loss
Tampa wins out, Atlanta drops at least one:
Seattle gets 4 seed regardless of tonight
Atlanta and Tampa both go 1-1:
Seattle gets 3 seed regardless of tonight.
Tampa goes 1-1, Atlanta goes 0-2:
Seattle gets 3 seed with win @ CHI, 4 seed with loss
Tampa and Atlanta both go 0-2:
Seattle gets 3 seed regardless of tonight
Typically higher seed is better, and maybe things would shake out for that to be true again, but right now, the 3 seed is most likely hosting the Packers. Not sure I want anything more to do with them right now. Not suggesting we should throw the game, just pointing out a potential silver lining to a loss.
