I think the M's should just play in an empty park. As soon as fans start coming out or the national media starts talking about them, they crap the bed.

So shhh..........no one pay attention, attend games or talk about how good they are.

I disagree.

Preseason hype had the Mariners as a playoff team and some even as going to the WS. With the highest payroll now in team history, I expected the playoffs...........so no moral victory from me this year if they don't make the playoffs.

My goodness... Blue jays fans out number Mariners fans about 45-1 tonight. That was the loudest home run I've herd at Safeco all year and it was hit by the visitors. Pathetic.

Wow Iwakuma. A 5 run, 1 out inning and hes pulled in the 4th.

They finally get some offe se going, and the pitching craps the bed.

Funny how on Brock n Salk this morning Mike was saying how disappointed he is that no M's fans are showing up to the games. Then games like tonight remind me why.

A half hour ago exactly Ianetta missed an easy pop-up for the second out. Since then 8 runs have scored and we haven't gotten an out.

Yah nice catch Chris. Way to spark a rally for them. Great pitching Vincent, your the worst reliever and you STINK!!!

Cishek and Vincent are equals. Should not be in the bigs. Should not be millionaires. They should both be working fast food.

So glad this franchise decided to screw over my dream of having the NBA and NHL in Seattle by opposing the arena and then decided to choke away a chance to see them make the playoffs for the first time (became a fan in 2003).

This might be shaping up to be the most frustrating year of sports for me since 2008.

Many folks like myself have been lifetime fans since the early days and unfortunately, frustrating years have far outnumbered satisfying ones.

I hate to say it, but they had to win tonight and take this series to stay in the race. I'll still watch until the end, but they're going to have to somehow acquire a couple more big bats this offseason and another SP to have a chance next year. Just disappointing.

On another note...I can't stand Jay Buhner as a color analyst. Painful at times and at best he just has a random, rambling conversation with Blowers. He just doesn't get it.

Win today and they are hanging right in there..

Are you usually this over reactive about one of 162 games?

While yes we're still not mathematically eliminated, it is no longer about 162 games. It's more like 1 in 10 games. ;)

I never listen to that hype because a lot of it was based on Felix being what he once was with Walker and one of two starters Miley/Karns having a great year since they was supposed to be in a pitchers ballpark.Instead what we got was guys getting hurt in that rotation or sucking pretty bad.A closer who couldn't close and really the offense besides 3-4 guys that wasn't too good but better than last year I suppose.I see them making trades that worked (Miranda) Calling up a kid that is now our closer(Diaz) so there is things to be positive about at least for me.I have seen much worse over the years from the 1st year the M's played so maybe I just don't expect too much.Anyway every fan has the right to his opinion and I respect that.GO M"S!!!

i felt like the m's controlled their own destiny if they just won their remaining series. To come home after an 8 game win streak to drop consecutive series is incredibly disappointing. Now they'll need to get hot again and hope either balt or toronto AND houston or detroit crap the bed

orioles down big...CHOKE CHOKE CHOKE!

Well, with the gutsy and gritty win today, they're still in in the race-2 games back of Baltimore (Hou and Det are 1 game back). Big series at Minnesota coming up. Probably need to sweep them to stay in it.
