Does anyone care about the 14-6 win over the Rangers? Too little, too late. Where was the fight the last few weeks? After watching the team fold twice this season, I'm ready to move along and look forward to 2017.

That ball that hit Shoemaker's head was a missile. Had it hit a little lower it would have hit his temple and killed him on impact. As it was, it hit a sturdier part and still fractured his skull. You wonder if he would have lived from that if he were pitching in the 1800s, before modern medicine and brain surgery. Probably not.

It's every pitcher's worst nightmare. I'm surprised cases like these are so rare.

I just thought of a way for the team to make some money. They should hire out our pitching staff to the rest of the league to throw batting practice. The whole lot of them seem to throw very hittable balls. :|

Anyone catch the boxscore? A couple bizarre stat lines that kind of sum up our year.

Caminero 1 1/3 inn, 1 hit (hr), 1 er, 4 BB, 1k

Very strange lines there. How did Caminero walk 4 guys, give up a bomb but only gave up 1 run? Odd. Both of these guys' stuff is tremendous but their FB command is way off. Paxton kerps putting his FB way up in the zone and Caminero is slinging the ball and opening up too soon. Hopefully they both can get it going.

The Rangers are the best team In our division, and maybe the AL.

The M's are still a couple of all-star type bats and a few solid arms away from being on the Rangers level.

If you look at run differential, the teams are pretty close. It was the Ranger's year, it happens.

Just sucks that Seattle's roster broke down in August. At a couple of points this season, it looked like Seattle was going to make the playoffs.

They really looked good this series. The bats came alive for sure. Hopefully it'll carry over this weekend.

They should be able to win most games against Oak and LAA. Operative word should.

Walker was pretty decent tonight. Only went 5 innings, but held them to 3 runs and left with the lead.

Just feels like too little too late and it feels like the point of the season where the Mariners play well and give you hope for next week with the pressure off a bit.

Can't help but feel that even if they clawed it back to a game behind they'd still crumble under the pressure.
