I've never been a big Taijuan fan. He is too inconsistent. Until he can put it together and prove otherwise, I think he is no more than a "potential" guy, a guy where we say "next year will be his year." I would not trust him to start a playoff game, because like Chapow mentioned, you never know what kind of performance you are going to get from him. Everyone in Seattle seems to think he is the next Felix, but I think that's very far-fetched. This is now his 3rd year with the team. At some point you either have it or you don't. I know he is only 23 years of age, but you could say the same with Ackley, Smoak, etc. IMO it isn't about age, it is about how much playing time you've had at the big league level. There are plenty of better young arms in baseball that Taijuan, I think most of the national hype on him has cooled quite a bit. If there was a time to trade him, it was probably last year. I think when it is all said and done, Paxton will have the better MLB career than Taijuan.
